Mold has recently started growing around my tub/tiles and I was wondering if anyone knew of a bleach-free way to kill it. Vinegar and baking soda just don't do the trick, neither has a hydrogen peroxide solution. I'm thinking maybe tea tree oil or something?

try a strong tea tree solution. like a tsp or more in a spray bottle of water and spray it on, leave it overnight and scrub in the morning. thats what id do anyway :)

^Thanks :) I did a little research online and leaving the tea tree overnight is definitely key. White vinegar is supposed to work also... but again, it seems I should have left it overnight (I was scrubbing after only 15-30 minutes). Also read borax or grapeseed oil can work.

Please try ventelation, a dehumidifier or other as a preventative.

God the mold at The Jersey Shore, so humid here like a rainforest.

Have you tried getting some snails from your garden to clean the grout?
