I've never taken the "Raptures" and "Left Behind" stuff seriously, and Revelations sounds like it was written by someone who drank too much mushroom tea. Since the days of Jesus, people have been predicting that the "End Is Near". I wouldn't sell the farm just yet. It would be better to enjoy the present and live righteously. Then you'll be ready when it comes, if it comes in our lifetime.

The end times have never ended. They cycle all through history. Something is destroyed, something is created in it's stead. Sometimes it's across the world somewhere. Other times, right in your own back yard.

Some things which have small life cycles will see little change. But something that lives for a long time sees the cycles.

Christianity, and religions in general fall under the classification of something that's ripe for change. As humans progress in their ability to understand something of their inner divinity, their dependence on outside sources will cease. Religion will fall away as old thinking and limitation.

So for those of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam...your clock in indeed ticking. You've engineered the world to your own demise, eventually. And perhaps for the rest of us as well.

I have heard that if the bees lose great amounts of their population that the majority of crops will die. Some plants do not require bees to help pollinate...like the Grapes and Olives. I have heard some radical Christian suggest that Revelation 6:6 is happening as we speak... and let us not forget the oil or the wine.

Bees are dying off. Whether the cause is toxins, confusion, or cell phones, it is somewhat of a stir that the bees are dying. Supposedly Olive and Grapes are some plants that will not be harmed if the bees die off. If the bees do die off, Famine is in order, but the grape (wine) and the olives (oil) shall not be touched. (Revelation 6:6)

Again, I am not a swami, but I do see the correlation. Do I believe it…? I am a bit skeptical on the matter, but I won’t completely deny it, either.

I think something like the End Times prophecy of Revelations could come about as a self-fulfilling prophecy. With thermonuclear weapons, we have the capcity to bring about devastation across the planet. The passages in Revelations about flesh melting from bones is not pure fantasy. We have nut cases in North Korea and Iran with the potential to build nuclear weapons and/or export them to terrorists. They don't need delivery systems They can bring them in in suitcases. We have our own home grown religious fanatics in the White House, already talking about taking out Iran. Bin Ladden and Cheney are still on the loose. Because they believe the end is near and they'll be raptured away before the Tribulations (Christians), or Allah will reward them with virgins in Paradise (Muslims), many of these religious nuts don't respect the environment. Global warming, species extinctions, etc., are just some of the more conspicuous consequences. And our leaders tune out anyone who objects to these policies.

You make some good points in that post. I am not one for the belief of the great "Rapture" or "Raptures", :p However I will agree with you if there is such a thing it certainly will not be a work of fantasy. I was thinking how it could just happen that millions would suddenly perish... and In that line of thinking... I was thinking... millions of cases of spontaneous human comnustion?!?! all at once NO NO NO. That can't be right LOL. What would make sense is exactly that, Global nuclear warfare. They would all be vaporised in instant. It does make sense in that regard... however I doubt that the people who made the decision to pull the trigger to kill millions of innocent people will make it to heaven on that day... :p LOL. I know I shoudnt be one to judge that... SO I see how it could logically take place, but I still hold my position on the fact that the great raptures are the works of over active imagination to justify such attrocities.

As far as the great starvations ... perhaps the bees have somethign to with it I won't deny that, but you really should GOOGLE this topic: "MONSANTO TERMINATOR SEED" They are already peddling that shit in the 3rd world. Like they really need to be exploited more :S... sighs. What a world.
