ok so, i really wanna light one up right now, but my parents are home. How long does the smell last? i have a pretty big fan, and am downstairs and parents are up (but right above my room). Im gonna wait about 30 more min till they go to sleep, but will i get away with it? how bad will it smell? im planning on smoking 2-3 bowls. TIA
just go outside? turn fan on have it going out ur window use a sploof and spray some febreeze of something and you should be fine
What I do is put a towel underneath the door and point a fan out the window. Since you don't have a window, I'd suggest lighting some incense and keeping the fan on so the air mixes better.
as long as they're sleeping and you can open the window, you're good man. with some air freshener and a fan, it'll be gone in about 30 minutes. you might want to put a wet towel under your door to keep the smell in. and keep from opening your door as much as possible. edit: i see you dont even have a window...i wouldn't risk it. try sneaking outside for a couple bowls.
So you dont have any windows that open? I am in a basement and i have multiple windows (not regular sized windows but they are still working windows).
Does your bathroom have any windows? edit: regardless you can smoke in there if you turn on the bathroom fan and hold the smoke in for a while.
Just go outside. if you had some dank bud, then a big hit or two will get ya blazed, and your basement will smell for a few minutes with the aid of some febreeze or ozium. but for multiple bowls, go chill on the lawn
go to the bathroom, take out all the cloth materials exept one against the bottom of the door turn on the shower full blast and the fan if you have one in there or bring yours in smoke away later on after the steam from the shower is gone spray anything scented and leave the fan on it should air out in less than an hour with no smell
even with windows, if your house has central air and your parents have a sense of smell and aren't total nimrods, they will smell you smoking a couple bowls in the house. my parents OFTEN knew i was getting high in the house though i never really admitted it and they very rarely mentioned anything. to my discredit the one or two times they brought it up, i would usually deny it.. anyway, a lot of kids get away with it cause their parents are very deep sleepers and they're lucky enough that a really strong scent isn't going to stick around a bit in their room or that their parents are somehow miraculously dumb enough to be unable to discern the smell of pot from that of incense. most people know what pot smells like even if they've never smoked. its very distinguishable, and burning incense, no matter how strong it is, does not cover up a smellable amount of pot. it doesnt simply smell like theres incense in your room, it smells like incense...and pot. and nothing says "stoner" to a parent like a kid who suddenly starts burning incense in their room. especially late at night. ever unable to sleep late at night once in a while? ever get up and go to the bathroom in the middle of the night? your parents do too, sometimes. if your parents mind that you smoke in the house, then its a bad idea to smoke in the house. period. its going to be noticible while you're doing it, almost definitely. a baffle helps but it isnt foolproof, even when brand new. ozium eliminates existing odor very well. if you use a baffle/spoof/groove tube/whatever made with fresh drier sheets and you spray a shot of ozium in the air every couple hits, you should almost entirely eliminate the smell. while doing this, cover up anything alowing for air exchange from your room to the rest of the house. block up the space under the door, any air vents, etc. after the session spray two or three short blasts of it. it will smell fresh and clean, with virtually no trace of pot odor unless you maybe smoked a blunt or joint it doesnt simply mask the odor, it literally destroys the odor of the pot but going outside, if it can be done discretely, is THE best idea, for sure
yeah, i used to always try to get away with smoking outside, then i realzied how relaxing it is just to chill with a bowl and stare at the sky.
I live in my basement as well, with no windows that open, and I smoke down here every night. Febreeze is the greatest thing in the world. I just spray some of that when I get up in the morning and no one ever notices... even my friends who smoke are surprised because you can't smell it.
