I like drinking OE, something about going into the geto of Detorit and buying a 40 of OE and wlakign out drinking it from a paper bag. Good times. Also as far as hang overs go, My worst have been on OE untill I found the wonders of chicken Noodle soup. I havent had a hang over sence.
Black Label, PBR, Labatt, Bud Light, Bud, Miller, Busch. i also like liquior sometimes. and smirnofffs. lol
i have a friend who swears by drinking a bottle od pedialyte or whatever its called before going to bed...stuff supposedly tastes like koolaid and its made to replace electrolytes for small children who have become dehydrated due to vomitting or diarrhea..... she says that shes consumed LARGE amounts of alcohol many times and prevented any hangovers by drinking the stuff... i dont know though, never tried it. sometimes i'm lucky, sometimes im not :\
drink a glass or two of water as your drinking and one before you go to bed and an asprin has also gotten rid of my hangovers. Even when i get smashed.
i've had plenty of nights where i drank 3-4 glasses of water and it did absolutely no good at all....course, most of those nights i was drinking liquor beer at least has the benefit of a high water content...you still get dehydrated, but less so than with many forms of alcohol. with beer, even if i drink 12, i can still have a glass of water or juice or something before bed and i'm fine in most cases (12 bombers of an imperial stout or strong belgian beer might be different, as would 12 bottles of malt liquor....but you know what i mean)
really its always worked for me but then again i dont know how well it works for liquor. I cant even remember the last time i got drunk off of liquor (got tired of throwing up so i just stick to beer now)
i love liquor....some liquors....low quality are always bad, but still, sometimes preferable to low quality beers. at least you can mix cheap vodka with stuff so it wont taste very bad, and it has far, far fewer calories. i was always happy with my weight and for the most part my shape (especially when i got regular exercise) but i've been drinking primarily beer more nights than not for the past year and a half or so. i like rum, vodka, gin, brandy, various types of whiskeys, tequila....hell, i like liquor. but too often i make a night of drinking shots or sipping liquor neat. hangovers have been more common lately than i'd like. im cutting down
maybe i should try switching over to some cheap vodka since i dont know if my metabolism will keep me skinny with all the beer im drinking. Or maybe i should stop be the typical lazy american and go running.
Eat less... Seriously, I reckon I get about 1/2 my calories from drinking beer, I keep my fine physique, save money on food and drink more!! All round winner! Cheap spirits are shit and I can't stand them personally... I'd rather go for quality over quantity but if I'm feeling poor I may buy a half litre of crap whisky or something occasionally. Most of the cheap 'vodkas' are actually watered down pure alcohol though :/ don't say I didn't warn you...
my favorite pilsner is pilsner urquel. my favorite india pale ale would be mcewan's ipa. my favorite hefeweizen would be Fransikaner. my favorite stout would be samuel smith's oatmeal stout.though i like anything from these guys http://www.blvdbeer.com/ and http://www.gooseisland.com/ and of course anything that is made under the brand berghoff. i'll drink just about any beer that isn't too thin or watery or skunky. yeah beer is not supposed to be skunky at all. that means it has went bad. don't believe me? set any green bottle brand of beer out in the sun for 4-5 hours and then smell it. it will start smelling just like a heineken. heineken is so overrated. as is corona, one time i drank four corona's in about 2 hours and had a massive ehadache. i wasn't even buzz, but my head would not stop pounding. one time i opened up a st paul's girl and it smelled like sulphur. i'm sure these defects had somethuing to do with improper storage, but still. i don't really have one specific fav when it comes to beer. i homebrew beer so i've been kind of spoiled by craft brewed types of suds. i make a great amber oatmeal ale.
just tried Monty Python’s Holy Grail Ale, and it really isn't too bad at all. it comes in pint bottles, and its mighty delicious. mmmmmmmm.
This might be old but moosehead is such an awsome beer man. ONe of my favorite beers for sure, that and okanogan spring is good too
Long trail is awesome. To be fair its not just Vermont The entire area of New England including NY as well is littered with some fine microbrews. My favorite is from a brewery about 10 min from my house. Its Browns Breweries Harvest IPA. Which is a nice hoppy IPA that is brewed with Hops picked in the Adirondack mountains.
