What Will You Do When The System Collapses?

I've believed we were on the verge of collapse for some time now. I don't think "civilization" as we know it can continue to subsist for long, given the limitation of resources available, and the "grab all you can before it's gone" mentality. I like to think it won't happen all at once, that we'll have a transition period as things deteriorate to the point of collapse, but I'm sure the priviledged elitists in the know will keep it a secret as long as possible so the rest of us pions don't have the opportunity to revolt till it's too late--meanwhile they'll be tucked away in their gated communities with their armed guards while the rest of us are doomed to roam a depleted wasteland...

...'course the survivors will be those of us who are in our element in a primitive environment, those who are able to live off the land and coexist peacefully with our neighbors, while protecting ourselves from the rogues who would rob us, assuming there are still parts of the earth that haven't been reduced to a toxic waste dump of nuclear fallout. In a way it could be a good thing, like a Darwinian cleansing if you will. The over consumptive, self indulgent main stream who are the cause of the problem to begin with will die off, leaving those of us who are lean and mean and healthy enough to fend for ourselves while respecting the environment.

Another thing to consider is keeping a low profile--no one's gonna come after you if they don't know you exist.

Meanwhile, I'll just take it one day at a time--no use worrying about something that's out of your control, so you might as well just do the little things you can to make a difference...

If something like this were to happen I would most likely leave the country as fast as possible and try to find somewhere to live almost in a tribe if you know what I mean. Cause really if you think about it, who will be for the most part undeffected by such a collapse? The dwindling number of communities who still live self sufficiently completely isolated from modernization. Keep in mind that I really don't know what Im talking about, but this is just how it seems to me. I don't think the man who is wandering around india or the tribe living self-sufficinetly in the mountains will have so many problems, while your average american/european will be in some of the worst possible positions.
Really I think the idea would be to GET AWAY from everything modern. I could actually see people joining together and just trying to survive in the remaining parts of the US (forests and such) that havn't been torn down.

And once again, don't really know what Im talking about, but couldn't not necessarily be an entirly bad thing (in the long long long run) if it prevented further destruction of the planet? Or perhaps it wouldn't, IDK@!

Things are about to get really rough... Noone wants to sat it and thereby cause it to happen, but we are on the precipice of abother Great Depression, and this time around there are even fewer people capable of self-sufficiency.

Get bulk food storage as fast as you can manage. With the falling US dollar food is going to double or triple in price and as our economic system collapses, the food distribution systems are going to collapse as well.

 

Do not fear, we are sacred and under the protection of The Divine which lives in all of us.. if there is such a thing as total collaps.. when the change come as it surely will, it will be a mass consciousness level and it will affect every living thing at once.. otherwise it would not work. I still have the armor plates I bought in 1999 for Y2k. If the modern civilization collapses, I will go ahead and weld them on my RV. The gas mileage will suck, but you can't have everything. This is also my plan for the zombie apocalypse.
