i want to stay at home with my son, and financially, it would be impossible, what kind of ways can i make a decent income so that i can stay home and raise my son??? i hate the fact that he is saying oh my god because of the babysitter, after i worked on him for months to quit saying that!!! hes covered head to toe in bug bites. he came home in some other kids huge shoes and a shirt 3 sizes too big with wholes in it, sweats that he didnt come there with, tied up around his waist is a huge ribbon for a built. he came to day care with a very nice hoodie, jeans, socks, and shoes that light up. havent seen any of those still, two days later.
Seriously look at your finances, what is brought in as opposed to what is spent. Include everything! If the expenses associated with you working are equal to what you make, there's room for you to make it stretch staying home. The PennyPinhcer Gazette and something about Frugal, it's a book....both give great tips on how to decrease your spending and make it easier to stay home. Frankly, if you pay for daycare, plus the sicknesses that come with it (in days off and medications/insurance), new clothes to replace old ones, fast or convenience food, extra gas, extra car, extra insurance....it all usually equals what you bring in. If you can swing one car, homemade meals, look for ways to cut gas costs, etc. You can MAKE IT!
it wont work for me. we would need more than just his income, we dont pay for babysitting, or food, or clothes, just got liability after driving with out any insurance fora while cus we couldnt afford it, only use one car. we drive together and work together.
what kind of skills do you have? i work from home and take care of my 7 1/2 month old full time. i do freelance graphic design and fine art. i don't really make alot right now, but somehow i get by.... is there a way you could take a part time job when your man is home with your babe? even if it's just 10 hours a week it might be enough for you...
you can't make a LOT of money doing this, but definately enough to make a difference. I was going to buy a cell phone that gets the internet, and then go around to thriftstores and yardsales looking for books that I could look up on amazon.com to see how much I could get for them. My friend does this and makes roughly 500 dollars a month. good luck sista.
Day care, i dont know what the laws are where you are but over here its pretty easy. You could ask friends and ask them to ask friends
I work at home for a telecommunications company, answering phones and entering numbers into a computer all day. It's extremely boring and repetitive but it pays the bills. Maybe you could find a call center in your area that has people working out of their homes? sometimes I have to have someone here with me to keep an eye on my son if work gets really busy, but I'm still always around and I like it that way.
I work part time (one night, 2 days) at a local restuarant. Bring home around $300 in tips working just those 3 shifts a week. Other than that, I have been looking into doing custom tile mosiacs. Have a couple friends in town that run carpet/tile stores, and they give me their discontinued tiles, which I had cut and lay onto mesh. Have to install a couple, take some pics and hopefully I will have a business. I also supliment our income by doing custom art on request... everything from paintings to mosiac mirrors. Basically, if you are crafty it really helps. If not, there are always restuarant jobs if you can carry 3 plates at once and make a few drinks!
