A non-profit organization called Freedom's Watch, made up of former Bush administration officials is spending $15 million to run pro-war propaganda ads in over 20 states, which falsely link 9/11 with Iraq as a way to counteract the increasing loss of support for the Iraq war. The ads feature a 1-800 number for people to call their representatives, urging them to "not surrender to terror".

One of the founding board members for this group is former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer. Freedom's Watch chairman Bradley A. Blakeman was a member of the White House senior staff during the first Bush administration.

The first ad to be aired is an incredibly nauseating piece of propaganda featuring Sgt. John Kriesel, who lost both legs in Iraq and re-enlisted because "They attacked us, and they will again."

As Kriesel talks about his story, a picture of the burning World Trade Center with the approaching plane appears.

"They won't stop in Iraq. We are winning on the ground. ... It's no time to quit; it's no time for politics." Kriesel concludes.

Jeeze, they are trying that old tactic again. They think it will work twice?

I find it incredible that they are trying to play on our sympathies, by using an argument that has been proven false, by having as their spokesperson, one of the poor smucks that bought into the original lie. This isn't a football game. Staying in while your country is losing billions, perhaps trillions of dollars and thousands of lives in a failed attempt at gaining the oil resources of a region, isn't going to get these soldiers legs back or win them honor. It's not going to bring democracy or freedom to the area, or rebuild it's infrastructure. It's only going to deplete this country's ability to look after ourselves own and protect our homeland. Katrina and the anthrax attacks proved that.

I think we should spend more time educating our young people on the fact that Iraq had nothing to do with 09/11, then promoting them into ignorant canon fodder.

People stupid enough to elect George Bush, not once, mind you , but TWICE, are gullible and ripe for the picking.

50%+ of you reading this are well qualified...

REAL political power comes from swaying that 2 or 3 % of the population that can flip flop.

Manipulate that, and you can move right into the Whitehouse.

If you believe he was even "elected" in the first place.... not that it would have made much of a difference either way. When you own the voting machines, it doesn't matter who the public wants because the sham called democracy is only about making the public THINK they have a say in things. But even so, nobody makes it to become a nominee unless they have proven loyal to those who wield the real power. The majority of the candidates are all hand-picked and groomed years ahead of time. Anyone who votes and thinks they have a choice is just as gullible as somebody voting for George Bush.

Not to vote only feeds the current machine. It's what they want. Even if currently you have no control, the one thing our founders ensured was our ability to be heard. Maybe we will be just shouting in the wind, but that's better than being gagged. Vote your conscience and you will never be disappointed. Not vote and you will never be heard. I've voted 3rd party candidates for the last ten years. And I've never bought in to the hype that my vote elected someone else. My vote was for the person I voted for, not someone else. I am not going to change my opinion or vote for candidates based on a popularity contest of who can win if only...

I've seen these. Ugh. Damn these are worse than those guilt-you-into-donating Christian Children's Fund commercials.
