hey all. i have grown out a few strains, and all of them dont smell like "normal" weed i buy around here. i mean it hardly smells like weed. all other bud, kind bud and even regular middies, has that "weed" smell to it, the bud i grow doesnt. is this normal? could it be just the strain (kind of weird since i have grown a few different strains), could it be the way im drying it, curing it what? or maybe its just normal. it has like a .... i dont know how to explain it, like a lysol type smell i guess,i duhno. any thoughts or not? thanks alot
sounds like somethins messed up with your drying and curing methods. After a proper dry and cure, it should have atleast a hint of the normal MJ smell. Tho alot of strains that i've grown out don't really smell hardcore like MJ until its smoked and exhaled into the air. Like smoke a bowl of it, good sized bowl. Go outside for a min or two then come back in......
I am assuming that you mean "unburned" smell. Well it is normal as there are variations in the terpens between strains such as Skunk and Northern Lights for example.
My space queen was so dank when I haversted it, it didnt even smell dank, it was too dank, it smelled like baby poo or a diaper or somthin.
hey i have realized after growing for the past few years that bud fresh off the plant smells a lot different than the bud you buy from your friend's "dude" most of the marijuana smoked in the united states is either home grown or comes from mexico in which case it has a longer time to cure before it gets to the person who is actually smoking it. try do let one of your buds air dry for a couple days then put it in a plastic container in a dark place, like your basement, for about a week. check the buds periodically and let new air into the container. also check for mold to make sure it isn't ruining the curing process. after then your bud should smell more like the bud you buy on the streets. good luck man.
