Being afraid...

    yeah... i'm not afriad of that anymore. now it's just buffalos and being possessed while carsick. thanks though!

    I think there is a mental illness that only affects 18 year olds. :)

    Examine some of the other posts in this forum and you'll find alot of them are by 18 years olds like yourself. You sound pretty normal to me. Go with it. You will define who you are over the next few years. You're not there yet.

    Nothing to fear, except in not knowing. Life will teach you what you need if you listen to it.

    it seems that what you're feeling is something left from childhood. it seems that most kids feel that their parents can see through them and in relation, all adults. i know i've felt this before but it has been a while. i wouldn't worry about it, just remind yourself each time that you're not transparent. in public, people judge your character with little actual information and the vast majority of the time they're wrong. when you're out make eye contact and say hello. if you see something interesting make comments and see who responds. we're all in the same situation, no matter what age you are.
