I am so glad these guys are back again. The Telluride set was only a taste of what is to come from these guys in the future!

May not be what it was with Mark, but it's still the best live show on earth. They destroyed every other band at the All Good this year. That being said, I do not believe we have any indication that there will be any more shows. Perhaps a couple next year...but that's just me hoping.

There will be more Salmon shows, its been pretty much everything but announced. They were on a hunt for a banjo player to join the band not just fill a couple sessions!

Sounds great to me. Maybe Noam is sick of Cowan's pompass @ss with his dye'd blonde hair by now. :)

get rid of cowan...what a piece of work. He made me walk out on a show.
I do believe that in great jam band tradition, LoS car rip it one night and suck-start the bus the next.

who is out there with the chops to fit?

I have heard a rumor(I cant verify this), but LOS asked Hank Smith from Barefoot Manner to join. But he turned them down to stay with Manner. Hank is at the for-front of pushing the envelope of what a banjo can do! And he is still very young and will only continue to get better and innovate the instrument and music scene.

Im rly hopin to see some more LoS in the near future too but i am more excited for the Emitt-Nershi Band. This is with good reason. I became a huge SCI fan about a year and a half ago and I got to see them twice on their last tour. Since they broke up ive been dyin to see what all the side projects do, the Emitt-Nershi band most of all.

Leftover has just announced two new shows. December 28th at the Ogden Theater in Denver and December 29th at the Boulder Theater. Tickets went on sale to the general public today. They are available through ticketmaster for the Ogden show and www.bouldertheater.com, for the Boulder show. Noam is on the 5 string.

Good to hear they're back, I saw them a few years back in Upstate NY at their "farewell tour", they were good, but kinda mellower than the slam grass I was hoping for. Hopefully, they'll be coming through again next summer.

The wife and I are going to both shows. Picked up our tickets on Wednesday morning during the fan mailing list pre-sale. Also booked the flight, hotels and rental car. We're staying at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park on Thursday night (anything for the wife). Friday night for the Ogden show we''ll be at the Hyatt Regency in Denver. Saturday for the Boulder Theatre show (too bad it's not the Fox IMO), we'll be at the Boulderado.
I used to live in Boulder back in 92-94. I never saw LoS in Colorado though. I was too focused on the Dead back then. Took me until 95 to really branch out much beyond the Dead, Panic, & Phish. Newgrass has been my focus for the last 8 years though, and I hold LoS in the highest regard of all. Suffice to say, I can't wait!!!

I'm not familiar with the Ogden, though I see it's in a pretty shitty area. It will be my first LoS show in Colorado and I'll probably be to hammered to care about the venue. Just can't wait to see the boys again. Feels like it's been forever, even though All Good was just 2 months ago.

How long has the Boulder Theater been around? What's it like?

that last week of december is shaping up nicely for denver music....LoS for 2 nights, HBRSB for 2 nights, YMSB for 3...too bad I'm out of town.

I actually like the Ogden, Lotus was there last night. I really like the set up and always have a blast.

YMSB is going to announce special support for the 29 & 30th. Has me curios who they are referring to. Could be anyone, but the obvious thought would be Vince, Drew, etc. Although Leftover is in Boulder on Sat the 29th. Showtime is somewhere around 9 or 10pm as I recall. Perhaps they'll be joining for the 30th show though.
Anyhow, you called it...what a week of music. Holy crap. Our departure flight is on Sunday, so we're bitter we'll miss YMSB & HBRSB . We are seeing YMSB in 4 days at the 9:30 club in DC though :)

Special supports turns out to be G-love on the 29th & the Wailers on the 30th. Both are rock solid over the last few years.

well, the Ogden was reworked by Steve Schalk, the guy who saved the Gothic. I understand he did a good job, but the techs have hair raising tales to tell, and the vibe is the vibe and a layer of Elephant Bark isn't gonna change that.
(most venues around here are haunted, and Ogden has some mean spirits. The Gothic has horny spirits, but I digress.)

The Boulder is sweet. Security takes themselves pretty seriously.
It's nicer/cleaner than the Fox. (but yeah, I prefer the Fox, too)
Get dinner preshow at Himalaya next door.

Right on thanks, sounds great. 11 weeks to go...it's already killin me. Goin' back gives me this weird kind of feeling. It's kinda like butterflies in your stomach. Man what a time that was. Boulder was the best 2+ years of my life. And did I mention I was excited for Leftover? Suckin up company bandwith as fast as I can downloading LoS shows from archive.org as I speak :)

Tickets still available for both of these Leftover Salmon shows. If you want to go but you cant afford it, post here. If you've never seen them live, it's the best live show in town for shizzny. :)
