she is unelectable because she SERIOUSLY pushed away the middle and near right during her time as first lady. the whole electorate is electability.
My thoughts exactly. On a side note, what I found interesting yesterday is one of the same DJs that had made fun of this kid the day before and said he "deserved everything he got" - well his FIVE (5!!) year old daughter was given a time-out at school for not saying the Pledge of Alligence. He didn't seem phased by that either. I'd be one pissed off parent.
The guy rushes the mic when they were done taking questions but kerry let him do so. He kept asking question after question so the cops took him away and everyone was happy so THEY CLAPPED. This guy got what he wanted. He has a website and he wanted the attention and the scene to happen. I dont know if the cops could grab him off the podium but they might be stupid University cops. The kid was dumb for resisting and he should of chilled out. If I was one of those cops I would of punched him in the face. The taser should of never have been used. Those should be used in the same situation guns should be used in.
Anyone here watch the Colbert Report? Anyone see his The Word, the 19th? There's a great clip of it on the comedy central site, but you need to navigate the menu to the right, scroll down to the section for The Word, and it's the second one titled "Solitarity". It's got the complete segment from his show: http://www.comedycentral.com/motherload/player.jhtml?ml_video=&ml_collection=70004&ml_gateway=&ml_gateway_id=&ml_comedian=&ml_runtime=&ml_context=show&ml_origin_url=/shows/the_colbert_report/index.jhtml&ml_playlist=&lnk=&is_large=true There's also a "lite" version on Youtube (excludes the intro, which is hilarious): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wytw-riaRUE
But more and more the taser is the first mode of repression used by security forces. Police have the attitude that it is nonlethal, but a youth was killed by one in my area three years ago. I don't care how irritating a speaker is that was undue force, and he had a right to resist. I saw the tape. He presented no risk to himself or others. He might have been obnoxious, but does that give our society a right to behave in this manner? Others clapped... that does not justify the action. I am sure there was a lot of clapping going on in Nazi Germany as well.
I watched the video and he seemed to be asking for everything except the tasering. Freedom of speech is not freedom to grab the microphone at a public event and refuse to give it up and then start screaming and yelling when they unplug you.
