Anyone have any experience smoking salvia from a vaporizer? Wondering if it's a waste or not. Theoreticly, it shouldn't be, but I have never tried to use a vaporizer with the herb.
I havent. But I know it is possible. However I know the vaporizer has to get very hot, cause salvia needs it to be.
I second that notion... Salvinorin-A vapourizes at a higher temperature than canabis and the smoke can be very potent. The only problem is, you might want to smoke it out of a bong because the smoke is usually extremely hot when you heat it to that temperature. It may be work if you have a bubbling device attached to it as well. Good luck!
Yes http://www.entheology.org/diviners-sage.htm 3rd paragraph under effects. It was the first search that popped up on google and there are others. Such as http://forums.mycotopia.net/cannabis/14156-vaporizers.html
I think that first website you linked is referring to the actual salvia leaf being used by a vaporizer. I should have been more specific when I made my initial post and said that I was inquiring to salvia extract. Thanks for all your help though, I will probably try it and post my results.
Just be careful with dosage. It will be significantly less than normal. Depending on the vaporizer and how the individual hit combusts will be the difference in what level you hit. Salvia has plenty of Salvinorum-A just in the raw leaf if you use methods that extract it efficiently..ie extractions and vaporizers. Doc
