hi everyone... i'll start off by saying that i'm kind of new to this whole posting thing but it seems like there are some cool people on this so here i go.. so i've always had strange dreams and i've always tried my best to interpret them, but lately my dreams have been completely bizzare and difficult to interpret. i noticed that last night and the night before, i have had dreams involving my fingernails... yeah, it sounds crazy, but hear me out ! in the first dream, i looked down at my right hand and noticed that one of my fingernails was missing ( i believe it was on my thumb..). instead of a nail, there was a hollow curved square, thats the best way i could describe it, with no top... the skin was disguisting... kind of raw, like it would be if you've ever seen someone whose fingernail has fallen off.... and it gets stranger.. on either side of the "box" was the springs that you would find in a remote control or something, like where you would insert the batteries.... and as i looked more closely, i could see that on the "walls" of the "box", there were stickers... and suddenly, the "box" became a room, and i was standing in it. as i approached the stickers, i noticed that they were stickers that you would find on a prescription drug, such as : "may cause drowsiness" or "do not take when operating heavy machinery", etc. that's all i can remember from that dream... in the second dream, i was hiding out in my mothers room from someone, not sure who, but they were trying to hurt me or catch me or something. the entire dream was dark and unclear and i cannot remember much from it, but suddenly i was in my elementary school on the top floor, which was always dark and kind of depressing. i heard my best friend telling me to get tips on my nails, which, in real life, my mother does not approve of, and i kept telling her that. suddenly, i looked down and i had tips on. they were long and white... and i was instantly worried about what my mother would say and i also did not want them. i complained to my friend and told her to find a way for me to take them off, and when i looked down again, they were shorter. each time i looked down, they were shorter and shorter, till finally they were at their normal length... for anyone who took the time to read this, thank you.. if anyone has any opinions or ideas as to what this could possibly mean, please let me know.. i am under the impresion that it has something to do with me not being able to distinguish what is fun and what is best for me...and i have had little self control lately when it comes to "peer presssure.." sounds childish, but please respond.!
Tying in the ending of the dream to the beginning of the dream, the reason why the nail was raw may have been because either your mother ripped them off or you ripped them off. It may show that you fear your mother (nothing wrong with that.) So it could show a difference of opinion or a fight of wills. The room could therefore represent a belief system, your core beliefs concerning some matter, like marriage or dating or going to school, working, etc. Your mother may not approve, therefore the square nail with the warning stickers. The missing batteries may either indicate that you feel that you are lacking something or that you are hiding something from your mother.
