I am very interested in eating shrooms. However, I was told when i was a kid that I was allergic to mushrooms but was wondering if it was possible to use some allergy medicine or if there was something else i could take before I ate it. I once ate about a full small mushroom on accident but i had no bad reaction at all, there could be a possibility that I am allergic to some mushrooms but not all. I plan on eating a small piece off of a mushroom cap and seeing my reaction but it would be better if i just could take something b4 i ate it.
I would eat a normal mushroom first. That way, if there's a reaction you can go to the hospital without any bullshit. If you're fine, take the shrooms.
Who told you that you were allergic? Maybe it was just a bad mushroom? There are a gizillion different types of fungi out there. I'm betting you can ingest most of them. Get a pizza with mushrooms.
