Sandal Socks

    I made these rockin' socks for my huband because he adores wearing his sandals but finds it gets a little cool this time of year. Actually, he was asking if there was such thing as sandal socks a couple of days ago and I remebered that knitty had a pattern for them. Here is the pattern that I based these socks off for any other sock fiends:

    I did change the pattern a bit. I used the provisional cast on method for the toes instead of the crochet cast on that they recommend (I just find it easier), knit them all in a solid grey (my husband doesn't like bright colored clothing), and opted for a ribbed top instead of the intarsia with buttons.
    Here's how they came out:

    I like them so much that I think someday I'll make myself a pair like the ones pictured on knitty. Got to get some for sock yarn first though. lol

    hah!!!! those are soo cool!!! i've never seen anything like that other than toe socks where each toe is seperated. These are great!:D

    What sized needles do you use for socks ? must be tiny and take a lot of patience!

    I love them. I'm finishing crocheting up my first pair of socks for myself. they are so comfy.
