same here, it keeps me off drinking too much. i just enjoy myself with a fat joint then getting wasted at a party. as for other drugs, i'd have to say it's helped me understand them from a perspective, so i don't do anything too crazy.

Well they do taint the soul as it dumbs you down. But its not going to kill you or affect your life too much is you drink responsibly.

 

Weed will never be legalised using that arguement. Not to sound all serious and shit. You've gotta go for the whole pain relife, glaucoma angle. Those government types have all kinds of studies showing them what they want to hear about marijuana being a 'gateway' drug. They can win the arguement everytime.

You need to say, oi, people could really use this drug medicinally. Then point to Amsterdam and say a bit of recreation never hurt either

That's not true. You could responsibly down a bottle of vodka and overdose and die in 20 minutes. If you drink it in the safety of your home, or in a safe environment, it still doesn't make it any less lethal.

 

Alcohol basically destroys your liver..its just a poisen.

 

You're liver's tough, it can take quite a kicking and make a full recovery. I reckon if booze isn't overdone it can be fine. And there's plenty people talk about it's health benifits too. Red wine for example thought to help promote proper heart function.

Downing a bottle of vodka is not responsibole, and if you think it is, your genes will not be missed.

Also weed is only a gateway drug because it is illegal.
Infact the majority of drug realted problems stem directly from there illegality.

 

But thats the thing. Lots of drinkers dont drink responsibly.

 

My old roommate was a hardcore tweaker, like the type that would be dead by 30.

He had smoked a few times before I met him, but I turned him onto the whole weed experience and culture. Now he's off speed, has a really good job, his sanity, health, and a bunch of other positive shit. And of course he still blazes daily.

 

i used to drink way too much. i don't frequency, like everyday, but im in college, so 3 or 4 days was nothing out of the ordinary. i found myself drinking way too much when i did drink though and getting way too drunk. i was also gaining weight. so now i just smoke weed when we party. lost the weight, feel better all around. yay weed

 

I don't beleive that gateway drug shit people who want to get fucked up, get fucked up. why is coke supposed to be the best feeling and i cudnt give a shit about it even though i like ritalin and i was blowing junk for over six months when i was a teenager in addition to gobbling morphine suphalte pills and liquidone and acid and mushrooms and i can come back to the real world and be part of it and just smoke some weed. Booze is a lot harder of a drug than weed and you can hurt yourself and others a lot more easily anybody knows that, but like weed you can use it on a daily basis and still pay your bills.

just last night a great example of how stupid the laws on alcohol and weed are
this girl i barely knew got way too tanked right before a bunch of us were about to go into the bar
she falls over and is barely responsive
puking and saying to whoever is holding her up to get off
some of her better friends didnt even seem to care and went inside which pretty much forced me and my two friends to do something about it
we didnt know what to do since she couldnt even talk, she could however nod her head
so we ask these two cops if they can call and ambulance or somethin, they look at us, ignore us and keep walking
we had smoked a fat j and had been drinking right before so my friend didnt want to drive, so we call an ambulance
they come in about 5 mins and ask what she had
we said alcohol and they say what else? i was like nothin, and they respond with ya right
later on my friend told them we smoked a little weed but they didnt care about that
so she leaves for the hospital and this was a total buzz kill and we didnt even want to go into the bar
line was pretty big anyways, so we go back to my friends house to smoke a j and he says no he doesnt want to cause hes tanked also
i dont understand people, not caring for they're friends health and whats with people always trying to get as drunk as possible?
weed has never done anything like this, except maybe to that cop and his wife haha
