Hey hows everyone doing? It has been probably 2 months since I removed my wax and went natural, my baby dreadies are doing pretty good and my hair is knoting pretty well especially in the back. My concern is that most of my hair is in mats and flat locks, they get really fat and matted in certain places and more round and smoothe in others. I havn't really spent the time to palmroll for a couple reasons, the most important being that I am not sure if I should. To truely use the neglect method should I just not worry about the shape and form of my locks? I am cool with the matted and uneven look as is, it looks and feels great all the same; I just really want conformation that I am neglecting the correct way lol. Thanks!

it depends I guess on what you are going for. I'm palm rolling some of mine but for the most part I've decided to let them mat up however they choose to.

None of Doctor Bronners stuff is "technically" shampoo. Its' Castille Soap. The bar and liquid are the same, it's just whichever you prefer to handle. I find the liquid is kinda thin, I think I'll try the bar stuff next.

i'm goin natural. have been for 7-8 months now. it started with one or two dreads at first and the going was slow and only in the back; but in the past month they have been new ones starting everywhere and they have been knotting up fast and getting really nice and tight. hopefully in another 4-5 months i'll have a head full.

Awesome, that is exactly what I wanted to hear! thanks.

Also to anyone with Dr. Bronners exp. I have 2 bars and some liquid coming this week, that ratio do I use to dilute the liquid soap? thanks.

there is no "neglect method" police. If you want them to look a certain way, do it. I think dreads are a personal thing...do what you feel is right.
