    Hello !

I'll go to UK next summer and I'm looking for a place where I could go. I would visit or stay in a place in relation with hippies or hip history. Are there communities in England ? Is there any museum or monument ? Is there a place where we could meet hippy ? Is there neighbourhood where there is good music and hippy atmosphere ?

Just one problem : I am only 16, so don't tell me about places forbidden to underage.

I wait for your ideas ! Thanks !!!
    Mathilde.

Can't say I know of any communities, though I'm sure there'll be some about. Camden in London you'll maybe dig. And certain areas of Cornwall are pretty laid back. Newquay being one such location, big surfing community who I'm sure are pretty sound.

There's the likes of Stonehenge and Glastonbury Tor of course. Glastonbury town is probably quite hippieish in parts. And I dare say you'll meet a lot of like minded folk further north in places like the Lake District and Northumberland.

    :)

Thank you ! I've already been in Cornwall and I plan to go to Stonehenge and Glastonbury. I'm going to enquire about the other places, thanks.

Have you got other ideas ??

Avebury is larger than Stonehenge and has more hippies than tourists compared to Stonehenge.

Camden used to be seedy and interesting, now it's just seedy. There are still a few hip folk in Brighton but they're rapidly getting crowded out by London yuppies.
