agree totally clippers are by far the mightiest lighter, you can replace the gas and flint if its breaks. so there is no need to ever throw one away. except when u lose the pokey bit whilst stoned cos u put it down and lost it, thats happened to me one times to many.lol

Respect to the Cat and Mr. Highwayman,

In the UK the Clipper is King, as they rightly point out they are refillable (both gas and flint) and have the dibber gadget to make sure everything is packed good.

I love my Zippos though - wouldn't be without mine when I'm out with the dogs.

i actually carry one of those huge lighters that you use to light a stove. I put a key ring on the handle and put it on my keys as a joke (sort of a huge keychain deal). It was a big hit at the bar, so I kept it on there. It makes people laugh when you pull out this huge stove lighter attached to your keys at the bar to light their cigarrette...

I agree cricket lighters are the shit, but there's only one store around me that has them and it's way on the other side of town, so I usually just go with the bic.

Oh yeah, and it seems like people don't know this but bics are refillable. See that hole in the bottom?

i've never used a cricket, they're not around here i guess. i dont know if bics are refillable, but even if they are, isn't it easier to buy a new one for a dollar?

Oh yeah, I only use my torch outside on cigs and such... most of the time when I toke it's in my basement, in which case I light a tea candle and keep it going. Then I light a small skinny candle off of the tea candle when need be and use that to light the bowl.
KInd of a complex system I've got going...

I never knew that Bics were refillable. For the price though I think I'm just gonna keep getting new ones, unless I come across one that I particularly like.

What do you use to refill the Bics? I looked at the bottom of one briefly and it looked like only a slit on the bottom. I bought some refillable butane once, but the connection used on that was a circle, not a slit. Do you have to take the bottom off of the Bics to refill it, or do you buy a special thing to refill it with?

But isn't the slit at the bottom of a slight circular indent?
That's how it is with my bics.

    ...you mean burn it?
bic lighters dont burn that hot...but its fire, any lighter is gonna make fire, and any fire is going to burn marijuana...isnt that the objective when smoking?

I'm so attached to Bics, especially the miniature kind. i've been using one of those cheap clear lighters for the past few days and its driving me crazy, i'm gonna have to get out and get another bic.

we have those in Canada those are great I used to have one. They're refillable and the flint can be replaced to. but they cost more than the 1 buck bic and I lose lighters more often then I empty them. So I have to go with the cheeper ones.

We have these butane canisters where I work (sporting & outdoors goods) that have small circular pins that fit into that small hole... they refill them right up. But I usually just go grab them off the shelf since I work there :p ;)

But yeah, bics are so cheap and easy to get that's its probably just easier to buy a new one.

i know all lighters create heat and thus fire, i was inquirying about finding a lighter that has a lower temp flame so I don't totally char the pot.

also, so you know if you didnt already-if you throw your bud in your coffee grinder it breaks it up and allows for more space inbetween the weed-gets you may more fucked up-it kicks arse-like having an electric pencil sharpner instead of a manual one, only its an electric weed grinder instead of the metal spiked ones that you have to hand grind.

    PEACE

i should try that sometime, but my dad uses the coffee grinder...and, well, you can put two and two together...

that would be pretty funny though
