yeah it rang up that price for a LOOOONG time....but i went back recently and now it is back to the higher price....sucks!
Nesta, did I ever tell you I basically quit drinking?! Besides the other weekend (I had a few beers) I have generally been sober for 2 months. I drank a couple beers actually, when I went to South Carolina for court, and a few when I got back to calm down, and also because I was celebrating because my wife was staying with me, but other than that, compared to how I was before, I am cleaning up pretty nicely. But, I am kind of in the mood for a St. Rogues' Red now
Good for you Matt. Are you left feeling much healthier and more energetic throught your day? I notice that I wake up much more naturally rejuvinated after sleep now that I'm sober, I eat only natural foods and I fast at least one day of week, surviving mostly on pure orange juice. Sometimes I can make the two day mark fasting without and loss of energy. And Im not comparing the energy upon waking in the morning now with waking up after a night of drinking, what Im getting at is when I was drinking, I would feel a large energy depletion for up to 3 days after a night of having even as little as 3 beers. Going with a hangover would leave me nailed for close to a week, but I never even noticed how much it was affecting my state of mind as well as physical condition until I stopped and reflected on the current noticeable changes.
ive never had any small town or local beers, i have had weird German beer with a goat on the package but it was too gross to take more then a few swigs so i drink Coor's Light mostly. it IS as cold as the Rockies.
Breda is my favourite beer, i believe in other parts of the world its called orangeaboom or something, very strong beer an most of my pay check goes on it!! Remember Reality is an illusion caused by lack of alcohol!!!
Beer is amazing... if I'm low on cash I get Miller High Life, it's probably my favorite beer because I buy it the most. But if I wasn't low on cash all the time I would always buy Coors Light, a delicious beer. If I'm buying 40s I usually buy Bud Ice... gotta love the 5.5%.
you did mention that you'd gone essentially clean and sober almost all the way around at a point, yes. but i actually didn't know you had a wife haha shows what i know! i almost got st rogues the other day. but today i went to the liquor store and almost bought a pint of tequila, but decided to get beer instead. they didnt have any cheap beer i would have wanted, so i splurged on some sierra nevada anniversary ale. i am cutting down though. i had two beers tonight, so far, and can only see myself drinking one more at most. think i might go watch a little tv then go to bed
I can't narrow it down to 1, let alone 10 but I can try Shipyard Gearys Sierra Nevada Long trail Seadog Grittys Casco bay Blackdog Newcastle and for cheap nights, PBR
i see you listed sierra nevada, and i'm assuming you mean their APA? well, i dont know if you like highly hopped beers much, but if you do you ought to check out sierra nevada's 2007 Anniversary Ale...i picked some up last night, quite nice! their regular pale ale is more drinkable in that its easier to down large quantities, but the anniversary ale is the better beer, in my opinion...an IPA with a large quantity of cascade hops....unlike all the other beers i've had from them (the APA, the porter, the stout, bigfoot barleywine) the cap requires an opener...not twistoff...i was confused at first, cause i know them for making good beers but only ever using the twist offs....nice change theyve got some cool shaped bottles, i might save them for some homebrews.
Oh yes, I did not specify. I tend to go with pale ales over anything else. I drink the sierra nevada APA 90% of the time when I buy Sierra nevada (which has only been about a dozen times). That can be said for most of those ales: shipyard, long trail, etc. Though with Gearys and Sebago, I tend to diversify more. I did have the Sierra Nevada celebration ale once. But I had a stuffy nose and it was just before x mas last year, so I do not remember to much. But I will check out the anniversay ale, thanks! I also collect caps and probably have caps from nearly three different types of ale.
thats nothing, while my roommates were away for a few months i collected bottle caps for one of them, both before and after departure...had two big cigar boxes overflowing, and i didnt have that many different caps from each kind of beer. i had to have at least three dozen different beers. and then theirs the beers that come with corks instead, beers whose caps i didnt save, beers that come in cans, etc...though most really good ones dont come in cans, some really good ones do...for example, old speckled hen or youngs double chocolate stout
I forgot the word dozen. How? i do not know. Maybe I am to focused on French to speak English properly, heh. That is why it sounded so unimpressive. Yes, I have collected three different types of bottle caps, haha. Three dozen!!!
That is what I find typically. Quantity beers and light drunken night = can Quality and drunken (more so than with piss water canned beers) night = bottle. I am open to exceptions, and will try the beers you suggest, if I ever find them. typically the crap crosses over to bottles more than the good crosses over to can, for sure. I did find newcastle in a can, in England. I would consider that quality (for being mass produced I go easier on it). Like a 7.75 out of 10, for me.
First and foremost my favorite beer is - The Free Beer! After that I like Appalician Brewing Co. Water Gap Wheat and Mountain Lagar Lancaster Brewing Company Hop Hog Steamworks All the beer that they served on the sample platter was excellant If i drink purpose beer it will be Keystone Light
