The thing people dont like about AILD is that they are christian(kinda)...but they are musically very good...i dont like the lyrics though...but they arnt as bad as those Shitknot assholes...Atleast AILD arnt trying to be a religion they arnt(what the fuck was the Heratic Anthem suppose to be?)

 

Actually what I don't like about As I Lay Dying is that they are metalcore. A band's religious alignment has nothing to do with it for me.

 

As Blood Runs Black is as close as it gets for me they seem to be the only truly talented group that has come out of this whole little hardcore fad recently

What about Killswitch? I think they could be considered pretty talented.

 

I thought they were alright as a Zao ripoff band, Beneath The Encasing Of Ashes.
They started sucking pretty quick.
Saw them once and left halfway through their set.

 

I have to say, AILD Actually is pretty heavy when they want to be.

 

I like them a lot. Through Struggle has an amazing into with the drums. Its fucking ridiculous to play though... I look like I'm haveing a baby.

 

They only have about four riffs, and they stole them all from At the Gates. There are a couple As I Lay Dying songs I like, but when I tried to listen to their 3rd album, it was just crap.
