kilgore trouts, kurt vonigut and (i thought) philip jose farmer. they actually had a bit of a row over it at first. i have no idea where michael moorcock comes into it. i could be the one who'se screwed up though. it's happened before.

wow, that was way back in the early to mid 70s some time, if not earlier.

i do find both of them a bit of a slow read, but i did like that one with the harmonioums on venus and the ice nine story.

i don't remember anything about the story with kilgore trouts in it. may have been somewhat forgetable, as you say. i found river world series mostly a rather slow read too. some of farmer's more obscure shorter and earlier work is a bit more, um, interestingly strainge.
