My roommates fave holiday is Halloween. She got all excited cuz she got catalogs in the mail this week for different costumes, holiday decorations & other stuff. Is anyone here starting to get ready for Halloween...sems early to me but oh well.
wow, woke up on the wrong side of the bed today did we? i love halloween. its been ages since ive gotten a full on celebration, i dont think itll ever be the same as when i was a kid, but i like putting up some fake cobwebs near the door and carvign a pumpkin or two (and occasionally making pumpkin pie too hehee). i like dressing up at leas ta little to give out the halloween candy... i have a medieval style dress my mother made for me ages and ages ago that i can still fit into and wear for halloween if i cant come up with anythign else before then xmas is still my favourit eholiday but halloween is pretty sweet too. xmas involves presents and decorating and everyone getting together and a gigantic feast (that i get to cook woohoo, well, usually at least) and time off from school
No, it's 1.30 am and I'm flaming drunk. I feel like blowing off some steam. Really, who starts getting ready for Halloween 7 weeks before the event? I bet the room-mate starts buying Valentines cards in mid December too.
There are People Getting Ready for Christmas Around About Now... Some People Like Planning Things in Advance...So Everything Runs Smoothly on the Day... I Personally...Leave Things Until the Last Possible minute...
At least christmas is a real holiday with a little more to plan than what you will wear. It also usually involves family and presents. I absolutely adore christmas, but to me getting excited about a halloween fancy dress almost 2 months before the date seems just a tad excessive. Each to their own, I suppose. Maybe it's me who needs my head examined then for not being able to accept the importance of Halloween in one's life.
I'm gonna go through her catalogs and order stuff for my kids in NH, and just have the catalog company ship the stuff to them

as a kid i was a punk a hobo n a vampire. i learned everything i ever needed to know from halloween.ok blood hurts in yer stomack. but hobos n punks are great.

when I was young i loved it because it was the one night of the year you could pretend to be someone or something else other than yerself....NOW i love it because the whole month they air the old horror movies on TV !!!
