have you ever seen a dead body? (no sob stories please)

I just have a hard time witnessing crashsites since my GM died, but I guess it's not exactly easy for anyone.

 

oh yeah this just reminded me of something really tragic.....

I was Director of a DayCare centre in an inner city campus (bad neighborhood)... long story short... a child (not from my daycare) was murdered in the building by some creep ass loser and when they found the boy I was outside having a smoke, I heard "they found a dead baby" and everyone was horrified... I had to go in and check to make sure that the boy wasnt one of my children, I thought maybe one of the staff could've "lost" one while coming in from the park. Turns out that it was not one of my children but an 11 year old boy ... it was really horrifying, when your blood turns to ice, and you feel as though you are dreaming... I thought he was still alive but I know now that he was dead. We were locked down in the building Because the guy was still loose... it was very scary... we had all the children in the daycare and we had to feed them all dinner because we were locked down until early evening. The parents werent allowed in the building and they never knew what was going on, it was also terrifying for them.

It affected me for a long time. So yeah it sucks.

a few funerals, one cover-up at a side-of-the-road car crash, and i know it's not the same but there were some gruesome videos at DUI rehab

I saw my friend run his motorcycle into the bumper of a car parked in the road, he flew up in the air and hit his head three times on her bumper and then his head hit the pavement like three more times. Although they kept him on life support for like three days after, I would say he was pretty much dead at the scene, his head was cracked open pretty much and he was blue. His mom wanted to keep him alive for her birthday (June 2) they pulled the plug on my bday . Ya, he was actually pronounced dead at the scene. Very, very sad, he was to graduate in five days.

We go and pay our respects to the fallen soldier/Marines in our community. Did not even begin to think they would have an open casket for this one guy. I had my daughters with me, littlest was probably 8, she went straight up to that casket and looked at him and just said "thank you" his family cried.

Ok, didnt see the dead body but boy did it smell. Someone shoved a body in the drain pipe by our courthouse. Work release smelt something terrible looked around, noticed the grate was kinda up but kinda down, looked down saw feet. The guy was stuck up under the sidewalk with his head stuck where the drain pipe met the road. They had to dig up the sidewalk to get him out. Firefighters tried pulling him out with these big ass poles with hooks on the end. really strange this one was.

i saw a drowned kid in namibia. he got washed off the pier while fishing with his dad in storm weather and his body only washed up three days later. he was bleached by the salt and the waves were calm again, so they were just rolling him gently on the sand. he looked like a broken doll. i remember thinking how fragile we are...

 

i've seen many dead bodies. non-human ones. usually road kill or the like. occasionally having the stomic churning duty of disposing of their remains. i've always been paranoid of being the first person to spot and report a dead human. too many detective stories and general principals paranoia.

Yes, I've seen a dead body. Last year, my grandma's. And they have that weird habit in that area where she originates from, it's an Addams family like tradition to photograph the relatives sitting near the dead body...

 

yes, i've seen dead bodies...but since you don't wanna hear a sob story, that's all i can tellya.

 

i think i mighta just seen one this morning. and as the poor girl was on my 5 yr old's side of the car, we both got to look into her poor face on the way to school! poor girl was on her bike, got knocked the fuck out of her shoes and landed in the gutter. her body was not right. thankfully they covered her with a blanket before we got right along side of her. fucking assholes go blazing by that crosswalk like it's not even there. well, the poor dumb girl who nailed her probably won't pretend she doesn't know it's there ever again. i swear, people pretend there's no crosswalk there, pretend they don't see people waiting to cross. it makes me so fucking angry. how much time does it take out of your day to LOOK AND WAIT?! fucking dicks.
