my son is getting bug bites all over him and hes TWO years old~! hes getting them at my friends house (since highschool) who just started a day care,. and EVERYONE living there and going there is getting horrible bug bites!!!! he has them all over the upper back and on his ankles,. just covered. Theyre swelling up, and hes scratching them badly.

I told her once that my son is getting too much of a nap and that hes not going to sleep till too late, cus me and my hub have to get up a little before 6 am. and she told me that i should bring him over not so tired.

yeah, it was a bitchy thing to say, shes the kind of person who will say what she thinks and sometimes she can be really bitchy,. but weve been best friends when we were in high school, and even moved to our first house together after we graduated, we have more history together than anyone i know.

But she would be soooo offended if i said something about the bites! when i was concerned, and asked about her and her kids bites, she told me it was because they were camping, but now my son has bites, and he didnt before.

she is certified through the state, so im not paying a dime to have her watch him, so should i even say anything? or should i just cover him up in bug spray ???

for the parents out there, you know what im saying, this is my little baby!!! and hes covered in bites and its killing me!!!

Tell her IT is very important because some bugs carry disease. You are the parent and have the right to question things if you are concerned.

my kids get covered in bites every time they play outside. i say just cover your baby in bug spray. unless there's an infestation inside her house, bug bites are unavoidable on an active OUTDOORS child. bug spray is your friend.

it may be scabies if theyre just small round dots... my bfs sister and nephew have them atm, its not good. means shes gonna have to wash everything in the house all the time til the bug bites stop. i would talk to her about it if its something other than mosquitoes or the like (the unavoidable bugs)

I think that the well being of your child is more important than your friendship with her, so I would totally say something. And if it comes to it, look into another place to bring your child.

theyre mostly on the ankles like fleas, but theyre very large circles, and then there are small bites too, and those are mostly up on his back right below his neck. she has a cat inside, and a dog outside but chained. she has hardwood floors and me and my husband dont see or feel any fleas when were over there., im gonna just spray him down. im just really worried.. and when i mentioned it one time. she got really offended. and this is the longest friend ive ever had,. because i had to move away when i was younger alot. (no im not an army kid, my dad has multiple schlorosis)

honestly, i'm not joking, i'm as hyper protective as the next mom. neither of my children have had a babysitter more that 5 times. but shit happens, and sometimes you just have to be very basic and practical. if they have wood floors and a basically clean home, man, there's not much else they can do. my children, home with me, still get ate up by bugs every time they're in the yard. trust in their health, trust in your best attempts, because there's nothing else you can do.

Two summers ago, I spent two weeks in the hospital getting daily I.V. antibiotics (and one blood transfusion) because of a bug bite . I'm STILL paying the medical bills! Take those bug bites seriously!
