Ok, my girlfriend and I have been concerned about her vagina. Around the bottom of the Labia Minora, on each side there seems to be inflamation. A part of the LM is thickened, and on the inner-side contains small goosebump sized bumps. She has said that this area is ichy, and also can be painfull when touched. Below is a diagram of where exactlly this inflamation is. We have been having sex for a long time and havent come across anything like this. We are both monogamous so we know that each of us is totally clean. As a side note, She had been saying that the Lubricant that we have been using for quite sometime has begun to irrate and burn in her vagina after sex. Could this be the cause?? Please help. Thanks.
she should see a doctor it may be a yeast ifnection. you still need to get your first one diagnosed by a professional. it may be something serious (the bumps could be from scratching itchy areas or it could be osmething else) so, there are a few smallish things it could be, but she still needs to see a doctor (and yes some lubricants can irritate the vulva/tissue, particularly if it has nonoxynol9. you may want to stop by a sex shop with her and find a better/different lubricant. if you have any women-friendly ones they tend to be a lot more, um, approachable when requesting advice/an opinion on lubes)
^ yes could be lubricant ... could be other factors. even though "you both are monogamous" ... you never know. doctor is the way to go.
