Janis, The G. Dead, The Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, The Band, CSN&Y, and there are a few more were/are the foundation that today's music is built on!

"Piece of My Heart" is the theme song of my life! Let's see... I have a cd of hers at work, two in my Jeep, and several at home, so yeah I think I qualify as obsessed.

One of my favorite things about Janis, is that she paid for memorials to several of the really old blues singers, so they wouldn't be forgotten. Isn't that awesome?!

elayne, I´m not sure if I undertand it good, so I´m quiet ))

About Janis....I wrote once that when I saw Janis first, during her performance at Ed Sullivan´s, I cried all day and next three days. I love that girl so much, maybe she´s like my mirror. But everything I do (clothing, singing...), I do it for my personal needs, not from reasons that I want to be straight like she.

I am wondering if something is lost in translation? Otherwise, I don't know what the hell you are talking about.

I´m talking about my bad English, so don´t be angry. I was lost in translation ), but I ,,used" my friend who is good dictionary, and now I understand ;) But I didn´t want to say something bad, only that I´m not able to reply (at those time). So sorry for my bad day ;)

It was nice from Janis, I never heard it. But anyway...mundane fame...

    Thanks, elayne :)

Hmmm....I saw a lot some songs on the internet which are treat as songs by Janis. But I never heard that it was recorded or performed by Janis. For example "Son Of The Preacher Man".....or "The Rose" is song introducing like song of couple Bette Midler and Janis Joplin. But it doesn´t look so....what do you mean ? Do you know something about it ?
