Well there's no sub-forum for gender issues books, which would be the place for this post, I suppose... it's all good though :)

I recently read a couple books by Jeanette Winterson. A friend of mine highly recommended her, and I read "Oranges are the not the only Fruit" and "The Passion." I was shyed away at first, wasn't fond of her writing style, but she completely swallowed me up and in the end I really enjoyed reading her work.

    Is anyone else a fan?

I loved Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit. Very powerful storyline and well-written, one of my favourite. The only other of Winterson's books i've read is Sexing The Cherry which... well I wasn't all that impressed with it. It was just a little *too* bizarre for my liking. The writing style differs tremendously from Oranges.

Is The Passion worth the read?
