Pfft. England v USA? No contest. Americans think you need a load of woofter padding and a fucking helmet.. then they have the cheek to call it football! Catch those pussies playing proper rugby...
Actually...I'd hold your tongue...England did terribly against the USA. USA were actually playing rugby apart from the end when that cheating bastard thought he was playing American Football. Didn't warrant a yellow card, everyone knows it should have been a definate red.
I didn't even know the USA had a rugby team...England will have the floor wiped with their carcasses by SA...
I've never watched American football, but years ago I asked the same question to someone who did. According to her, American Football is more violent than rugby...there are a lot of tackles and stuff that go on in AF that would get a player sent off in a game of rugby. Someone who knows more about the game will probably be able to comment further on it, but that's what I heard.
Yeh P13, but they stop nearly every 5mins during the game. It's a series of short bursts of gameplay. Spasmodic, albeit with in depth tactical positioning. Rugby is much more demanding.
Yeah, but there's "physically demanding because the game offers no chance to rest due to constant plays and runs" and "physically demanding because, despite a lot of chances to rest while the ball isn't play, when the ball is in play you can guarantee at least half a dozen guys from the other team are plotting to kill you"
I'm going to eat my words here. Despite the loss, they showed a lot of heart to get to the final, and played a good match but lost to a much better side. They still held them to 15, and that's something. Even though I'm not English, I'm proud of them.
