Okay this is the seriously messed up here! Did you know that police departments sell to the highest bidder guns used in suicides? I have a friend who owns a gunsmith shop and he received 7 hand guns from a pawn shop owner who got them from a police auction and all were used in suicides. Now top this off with the fact that the police do not clean these items up, need I say more? Little known fact I never knew untill today.
thats sad, there has to still be negative energy still on the guns, and not cleaning it? I have been a witness of the afterworks of a gun-suicide, and there is alot to clean off!
Is there such a thing as a gun with positive energy? As regards the selling of them, the police selling any fucking guns just seems like a ridiculously stupid idea to me.
Sounds a little sick. I hate guns to begin with, but who the hell wants one dripping with blood?! And by the way, are suicide guns like trophies now? Yeah, just a little strange...
*shrugs* Sounds like the police auctions they have here in town, granted we don't have many people dying of gunshot wounds here in town, be it by their own hand or someone else's. But the cops do sell cars and other things they seized from people, but not before having first pick. Two of the cops here in town now own matching Camaros and motorcycles from drug busts. I actually think that's the only way Rodney (my favorite cop) has obtained a car in years. I guess being a cop in a tiny meth town has definite advantages.
Police auctions are pretty normal but I sort of think it's counter-productive for them to be selling guns.
not here. any gun acquired by law enforcement here is destroyed to keep them off the streets.. i dunno whats worse...
Why would they specifically sell just the ones used in suicides? And in terms of not "cleaning them up", come on, I doubt they're dripping with blood. Sounds more like an exaggeration about the inside of the gun not being properly cleaned out for the next use (gunk, residue, etc). Further, I guess I just have a hard time believing anything that's traveled through three unverifiable sources before being presented to me. And if it is true, saying "Did you know that police departments..." implies that all police departments have this as common practice when this could have been more of an exception than the norm.
Probably and I suspect guns used in homocide/suicide are the most cherished by collectors, and double-suicide guns, permanently cast in platinum and put in a display case Hotwater
They sell all the weapons they take in but I found it offensive that they would sell ones used in the actual death of a person. The guns still do have residue on them hence the rust pits on the end of the barrels and around the cylinders from where the residue has sat while in the property room. Police department was county (Howell, Shannon, Texas, Douglas) state of Missouri. Feel free to verify for yourself and next the next time my friend receives a batch to clean and check for the pawn shops I will ask if I can take pictures. I could take pictures of the cleaned ones wth the spatter rust pits if this would secure your doubt.
Oh man, that would be the best auction ever. But you know it'd be a trap. They'd sell it to you, then catch you on your way out for possession.
