    Hello mamas, papas, and all!

I was a regular user of Hipforums over a year ago, always wanted to be able to participate in this forum but not being a parent can make that difficult!

Hubby and I have been trying to get pregnant for quite a few years, one week after my father-in-law's funeral I got a very strong positive on a pg test (6 pg tests actually!). Fate maybe?

After a scare last week I was booked in for a scan Monday just gone, baby is fine, heart beating and I'm 7 weeks gone. I have 2 cysts on my right ovary which they're going to keep an eye on.
It was the most amazing sight to see, hubby grinned all the way through and I even forgot about my intensly full bladder for a moment! [IMG]
And now they've told me that I have 95% chance of having a 'viable' pregnancy because it's after 6 weeks & the heart is beating, this makes me so relieved although I'm still slightly wary...

I had the midwife visit this morning with all her questions, and I found out that in my town there are cafes that allow bf-ing and plenty of support groups! The birth centre I'm going to have staff that are so openminded and fully support bf-ing, skin to skin after birth etc.
I didn't know people like this existed in my area! I'm so happy!

As I said, I have been a member previously and reading all your posts on AP-ing etc helped me to decide what kind of parent I wanted to be.
So thanks to all of you wonderful women (and men on occasion [IMG] ), this won't be the last you see of me [IMG]

awww, congrats! welcome to the mama club, lol ;)
sounds like you have a pretty awesome, supportive place to have your baby. I tell ya, that can help a ton. When I had my daughter, I was in the worst possible enviornment I could have been in, and this time around, using a midwife at a birthing center that is all pro bfing and AP, has made a WORLD of difference!
