Im sure this question has been asked a thousand times, but apparetly I havent caught it. Im gona start growing a lot of mushrooms and expect all flushes together to total to 100-300g, what would be the best way to store this many mushrooms for rougly a month (I start pushing some of my yeild). Sterile Jars?
dry cool place. jars or bags work. make sure its dry and cool and you should be fine even in ziplock bags
Since you want to protect an investment why not goto the local dept store and buy a vacuum packer. I bought one and not only is it awesome for packing food but you can pack shrooms in an completely airless environment AND have it compressed to a portable size.
Make sure that they're completely dry. Check Shroomery.org for drying instructions. Put them in a sealed Mason jar in a cool, dark place.
Vacuum packers are very expensive. At cheapest you can find one for 250$ and that's used. I wouldn't buy one unless you plan on growing them a lot.
One of my friends uses dry ice to store dryed shrooms. He says they'll last up to a year with little to no loss of w/e makes them work.
