I am 37 and live in lakewood. The majority of my close friends live in downtown Denver and as we all know, once home from work for the night it can be hard to motivate and go out, especially downtown with the cop traps between me and there. soooo anyone live in lakewood, wheatridge, golden....want to maybe go see some shows, lake walks, dog walks... just a friend...not romantic at all... preferable female, its hard to meet female friends once you get older.... :&
I'm an old married broad, but you are welcome to catch up with Paul or I or both at shows. I work part time at Swallow Hill Music Association (and a paper--cool to indulge both your loves for green energy) pop by some show night.
My other half took a Jerry Garcia Guitar Class at Swallow Hill. What a neat place to work. Next shows i am planning on are Black Crowes at Red Rocks, Phil both nights and Panic both nights.... anything else happening?
ahem... the swallow hill folk fest THIS weekend. $18 per day day of show. (and we have a Mickey drumming class)
really?? I'll check out their website, Thank you!! I was just wondering what I should do this weekend, Red Rocks Sunday, but this sounds great as well!!
the class is not part of the fest,...that was bad stringing on my part..I need sleep and the fest hasn't started!
steckles: i just moved to Lakewood about a month ago, and I love the area so far, but like you said, it's really hard to meet people...whether you're older or not! But, so far I think it's a really nice place, not too big, but just enough stuff where I don't have to go to far to get to the things I need. drumminmama:so, this Swallow Hill place..do they happen to give guitar lessons or anything like that?? I only work Monday, Friday and Saturday unfortunately, so especially with my boyfriend being in Chicago every Tuesday through Friday, I need to find things to do to keep myself occupied..whether it is something I can do alone, or some kind of group or organization!
