Hi! My name's Steph. I'm 18, from the UK.
Just quite randomly stumbled across these forums, and being the most varied forum i've seen in a long time, thought i'd join.

I am interested in discussing relevant topics in the areas of the sociology of choice, outcome maximization, mass social consciousness, political access issues, brain neuro-psychology, and People Magazine. I tend to read alot, watch Stephen Colbert and the Colbert Report, and I like people who can support their thinking on a subject without getting overtly hostile.

Does anyone want to start a thread on the subject of "HOW PEOPLE REALLY CHANGE": the processes, insights and actions people have to take in order to engage in a process of effective personal change. In other words, "How is it that some people are able to stop a bad habit, reorient themselves and start living a more effective, successful way?" and "Why do some people consistently fail to "learn" the lessons life teaches about personal effectiveness?" "Why are some people able to learn vicariously, and others just have to go down the drain, in the gutter, with the wheels spinning, before they can "get it" that they need to do things differently?"

Any interest? I'd love to hear from everyone. Signed, Kay

P.S. Please send me some guidance on how to navigate the website. It is not really intuitive for me and I could use a tour by experienced users. Thanks.
