Lowryder...its started at last!

Ok first grow, ive germed 5 lowryder 1's all producing a healthy looking tap root and im still waiting on an other 5. Fingers crossed!
Ill be potting them tommorow into Bio Bizz all mix, into 11 ltr pots.
Ill be needing advice from the pro's, so please help with any questions i have,

Not this time around. i think im gonna grow straight to bud. Theres no MJ in Liverpool at the minute that hasnt been poisoned, so im GASPING for a spliff.lol


I got the lowryder to ease me into growing, ill maybe go for Lowryder 2 or a Lowryder X next time and get plenty of seeds then.

Just spilled my smoothie all over the bed.....BASTARD!

 

Sounds like a plan! I keep forgetting that seeds are legal over there (souveniers) so you are good to go!

The hydroponics company have failed to deliver my Bio Bizz, pots, fucking lights and everything. Theyve promised me that everything will be here tomorow apart from the HPS which will arive on monday (aparently)!
for now though ive just had to plant them in decent sized pots with a regular compost. Are they still gonna be ok till tomorow evening? I had to pot them because they couldnt stay on a damp cloth anymore.
Ive given them a little water each so i hope there ok, and i hope the compost insnt burning the roots?

They should be fine as there is little nutrient need at this point. As you start to see 2-3 nodes appear then a dilute nute solution (1/4 strength) can be used.

For plants in general I always like to periodically repot them. IMO it helps to build a greater root density throughout the soil and limit salt buildup. 16-20 Oz cup to a gallon pot then to a 3 gallon pot a few weeks before flowering.

Just be aware that one common deathtrap is overwatering.

 

So they're cool for now. phew! So far ive just watered the surface of the compost. Ill maybe give em a little trickle twice a day or somthing, just until there a bit stronger.
IF my 250 ballast arives tommorow when would you recomend me putting them under this straight way?

 

After they are sprouted keep them 1 & 1/2' away (18" ~ 47 centimeters) and let them grow into it. Get in the habit of giving a good watering and then let the soil dry a bit (top 2" dry). Lift a dry pot with soil vs a watered pot with soil and the weight will clue you in when they are larger for watering.

On a brighter note the babies are growing quite quick and ones even got leaves. Is it normal for the seed casing to be around them as theyre poking out the ground? Its not on tight, they look like theyre gonna come off.

 

compleatly normal. You can gently help them off if you want, BE VERY CAREFUL not to damage leaves

 

Its allright i think. I gently nudged one off, they was looking a little thirsty so gave them a drink, put the heating on for half an hour an the rest had fell off.

Im a little worried about the discretioncy with the company ive ordered from. Firstly they deliver a massive bag of fert and left everything else at the couriers depo! ON the packaging it said the name of the hydro company which is....lets say prety obvious whats inside!

 

In the future don't order anything grow related through the mail, or if you must don't order to the same adress as your grow. Go to the store in person and pay cash. Don't take your own car, and don't go straight home. Remember there is just as much to fear from rippers as cops, so don't advertise what your doing to the whole neighborhood. loose lips sink ships.

 

OK day 3 and six have leaves and are looking good, one looks to be a bit damaged and two have yet to break the soil.

 

Hey man not tring to sounds like a broken record but really do make sure you don't water until the pot is almost completely dry. Just trying to teach you based on my (many mistakes), but like someone else said, too much love is always the downfall for new growers.

What kind of soil mix are you using?

Theyre in regular compost at the mo as i had a disaster with deliveries. However since theyve germed i have a huge bag of Bio Bizz all mix and some 11 ltr pots. I was gonna leave em for a few more days to maybe bet a bit stronger and then re-pot them. IS THIS TO SOON?

Another two have broke the soil today. They all seem to be growing fast and leaves and stalks etc look good and healthy.
