Ok this may sound really odd but I am not sure if I had a trip or not.
So I have took LSD before about 6 years ago and I have took mushrooms on several occassions, neither really did a great deal, just the usual face melting, walls breathing carpets moving, nothing to intense. I have also took most other drugs and never had any problems.
Anyway, about 2 months ago i took one tab of LSD (I am in UK so not sure much this would be in USA) I was with two people who I trust and in my own house. I felt ok initally then just started to feel completely out of it, I couldn't feel my fingers, I was trying to control it for a while but then it just took over, I started to trip, I think just seeing random stuff, then I just lay back and had the worst, it felt like a dream of my life. My friends said my eyes were closed and I was screaming they had to carry me upstairs no one could talk to me. I remember what happened visually to this day, I thought I was dead and had gone to hell cos I had been taking drugs, I was so scared like nothing I have ever felt. When I came round about 6 hours later,it felt like I had woke from a bad dream, just a huge sense of relief.
The thing is, I thought when you trip you are awake you know what is going on around you, I felt like I had fallen asleep. I have seen people of LSD loads of times and not seen anything like it.
If anyone has had similar experiences could you explain, I am still seriously freaking out about it. Thanks. x

When on LSD people if they check themselves do remember that they have taken the drug. As in you don't forget. HOwever people who have a strong first time crazy hallucinating experience can get utterly confused and not remember what is real, how much of it is real and most importantly some people feel they're goign nuts and will "never come down". YOu could have taken some RC but it could very well be LSD.

The fact you had yoru eyes closed means you were most likely tripping away on Close Eye Visuals (CEVs) and the bad trip was simply your own brain tripping out. If your friends had repeatedly told you to calm down and to remember you'd taken a drug etc. you may have been fine.

The thing with CEVs is that there is really no limit to what you can see etc. MAny eople here (and I have been in discussions withthem) claim to be able to see raw (out of nowhere) hallucinations whislst on LSD but teh MAjority of people (tens of them) that I've met and spoken to do not have raw hallucinations on LSD with Open eye visuals. CLosed eye LOOKS just as real as closed eye when you're tripping and if you forget in the confusion that you've got your eyes closed it could get messy.

AS for your "been bad doign drugs" thing.Whatever you experience on LSD is fomr yoru own mind. It may be parts you have never experienced before but it basically means that somewhere inyrou head you have gult issues regarding drugs or that various social impressions have been made on you that you feel this way. You either need to sort these issues out clearly in yrou head about what you do and don't believe regarding takign drugs (rememeber to logically define for yoruself which drugs are acceptable and why, e.g. caffeine, aspirin, alcohol etc.) before considering blowing yoru mind again. IF you decide you are not comfortable with it don't do it.

Psychedelics teach us many things about ourselves. Everything that comes out of a trip is created in essence by yoru own brain. Its not an external thing. The trippign part is but what you make of it is all you. Use even teh bad experiences as learning tools. Even if it means you discover you don't want to do it again.

    Hope you feel better soon!

So do you think if I did it again the same thing would happen, and surely I would be more prepared next time. I really want to take it again, I am very intrigued.
Also it sounds really odd, but I did not think the trip was a bad one, I was very, very scared but it kind of opened my eyes to some things that I had been thinking, not to do with drugs, other more personal stuff and helped me to resolve some stuff.
The people around me seem to think that it was a bad trip but I think that was because I was screaming.

    HAHAHAAH! thats sounds hilarious.

its like i had a trip earlier this year and everyone's like "it was a bad trip" just because i felt sick. whereas it wasn't. feelign sick was bad which was part of tehe trip but the trip was great.

I think you shoudl do it again in that case. but low dose.
Thats teh whole point of psychedelics IMO. to teach you stuff (and make you laugh too heh heh)

I feel sorry for your friends having you screaming. thats probably gave them a bad trip!

just remember to keep your eyes open this time! And also remember to laugh. I feel people who have bad trips are unable to laugh at certain things. when teh world gets crazy and ugly and scary LAUGH! it its funny and you'll freak your freinds out a whole lot less too! :p

OH and ride teh tingles on your way to teh insanity. you know those shivery tingly things you get at teh start? they feel kinda nice and just allow them to ride thorugh you and take you higher.

    :)
