I need to start thinking about calories.

I've dropped just under 25 pounds in the last 2 months.

well, at most places you can make a decent meal out of something on the menu. for example: wendys - side salad, baked potato with chives, orange cup; mickey d's - any salad minus meat (idk what else i dont eat there often); taco bell - bean burrito without cheese, 7 layer burrito without cheese and sour cream. and most of this stuff is only a dollar each. fast food isnt all bad, you just have to be selective.

Well firstly I'd much rather do without it, they put all kindsa crap in their food, you don't KNOW what. I like to know what I'm eating. And I think taco bell puts lard in their beans or some kind of animal fat. A bean burrito is almost 300 calories there. Yeah... I can make a bean and cheese burrito and it won't be 300 calories!!!
Those people aren't treating your food with care either, and if you're for animal rights you shouldn't be supporting those kinds of companies. I can get "fast" food at a grocery store or something and it tastes way better and doesn't make you feel like shit!!

But yeah like if I absolutely have to get fast food those things at Wendy's don't sound too bad. I just had to rant. =)

I've eaten vegetarian meals with more calories so I wouldn't say it's exclusively a McDonald's thing or even a meat thing.

Taco Bell sour cream is not vegetarian, it contains gelatin.

It's absolutely disgusting, i advise anyone who hasn't watched supersize me to watch it- opened my eyes up on mcdonalds, i knew they were bad but it nearly killed him having it for 30 days straight >_>

Apparently the salad with the sour cream and pestachios has as many calories as a big mac... crazy.

I feel sorry for the yanks- went to florida and the rest of my family aren't very healthy eaters, so we went mcdonalds and the only thing they had that was vegetarian was a measley salad. Not sure if it's like that everywhere else, though in disneyland the vegetarian options were fantastic. (first night we went to florida we went to a steakhouse ¬_¬ the smell... just eurgh, luckily there was pasta on the menu)

Sick. A lot of food in general makes me sick unless it's fruit or broccoli.

Yesterday, I got one of those nutririon pamphlets from McDonalds and it turns out their fries have flavoring from a beef source, I wanted to puke.

still, compare the nutritional information in those meals to the comparable foods you'd eat at home. like, if you bought tortillas and beans from the groccery store, i'm sure there are a million fewer calories than a taco bell burrito. that stuff doesn't even taste right. i hate fast food. when i'm out and looking for a cheap meal, i go to the groccery store. you can get a couple slices of deli meat and a roll for a dollar. but wait i'm not doing meat anymore, so i don't know what i'd get.
