Not just country music but the entire industry. Late hours, traveling from place to place on a bus, wired from the nights performance. A couple of shots from there to a half a bt. and before you know it you throw a little blue pill (mother's little helper) in there and the problem has begun before it is realized!

Cus alcohol makes you want to raise hell, and raise the flag. Country boys like to party and listen to country music because life just seems like Gods blessing when your drunk. Like a true cowboy, alcohol is the redneck drug of choice. It makes you outgoing and proud to be an American; great choice on the 4th listening to "Proud to be an American". Country music is kick ass and make love music. Alcohol just fits.

iduno it just has that feel. take a swig and dance with your bottle to a fast bluegrass rhythm. bluegrass especially, its just makes you wanna jump and bounce around and scream "yeee haa". o and its traditional american music. what's another american, good-time tradition? alcohol. it fits in to the imagery created in a lot of country songs, drinkin at a bar while my baby's far away, whiskey in the jar etc.

Good old Hank Williams was the perfect example of alcohol and country music. Sad I guess, but I'm not sure that they would be interesting without the booze.
