How to decide my political standpoint/party etc...

Okay I don't want this to flare up into lashings and arghuments I am merely asking a question:

Everyone feels better when they are unique and special yet can relate to others of similar intests, views etc. The same goes for me I feel it's very important that I find a political party (I guess that's what you call it) for awhile now I have been leaning towards communism (just it's structure and background facinates me) plus all my heritage, every 100% of it is made up of four races being persacuted, discriminated etc. (of what relavence this has I dunno) anyway I read a little about it here and there for months now and I kinda made my own "Indie Communism" (I know it's a stupid idea) it's like communism except it's somewhat dilluted and refine for all the negative flaws etc.. Anyway getting to my point I am just trying to figure out of all governements to support whats the right one for me, that corresponds to my beliefs and principles. Communism, rep, dem, Socialism, Depositism, Parliment, nationalism, envirnmentalism etc. etc. I try to ignore propaganda as much as I can and try to get straight facts from several reliable sources but I just need some helps with this.

So, what are you looking for? Information, other opinions, help on figuring it out.. all of the above? Haha, sorry I'm just a little confused as to what exactly you are asking for.


My advice is basically to search around and look up information on all the political parties/standpoints that you are interested in and then just go from there. It is hard to find unbiased information anymore, but just keep searching and I'm sure you'll find some helpful stuff. I think you'll know when you have found the right one for you by judging their political ideals and goals, and choosing whichever matches your own, or whichever you find yourself agreeing with the most, etc..

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful on the informing part.. I'm kinda in the same boat as you right now though. I'm just reading up on different things, trying to figure out what works for me. I'm with you on the communist thing as well. I've always been fascinated by the concept and recently started researching more into it, and I'm finding myself leaning more and more that way. It's a wonderful concept.. But, just my thoughts..

Be yourself, don't bother aligning with a political party. Why should you need to anyway?

 

Maybe you missed this part of his post, Max.
I think that explains it fairly well. There's nothing wrong with aligning with a political party as long as you do it because you share those beliefs.
There is also strength in numbers. It's always easier to get things done when you have other like minded people helping and supporting you, as opposed to just trying to do everything on your own.
