real divination with salvia divinorum

Has anyone else had what they consider real divination experience with salvia divinorum? I have used S.D. a number of times now and became convinced early on that the way it has been used for hundreds of years as a tool for divination is for real. This was validated in a spectacular way for me. I went into a state asking for two things. I am convinced that there is a presence that accompanies these trips so I asked for a name. I also asked how I could help my oldest daughter who my heart goes out to daily. The short story is that after asking, a name was given to me. Then about my daughter, he told me to "go and find out." I didn't understand and asked again and the answer was the same. "go now and find out!" He left and I came awake and started to put my environment back together after my trip. Turned on the light, got out my writing tools and turned my phone back on. I had shut my phone off at 11:15 P.M. and turned it back on at 11:22 P.M., only seven minutes visiting in S.D. world. At 11;17 P.M. my daughter had left a message to call her. Needless to say this "coincidence" blew me away and I called her and she told me how a letter I had sent her a number of days earlier had helped her in some difficult decisions she had to make. I was helping her! This guide had told me at the very time she was calling to go and find out! This validation is very special to me and I share it in the hope of finding others who are creating situations in their lives that are healing bodies, relationships and minds. Yes i think these experiences are truly divine. Every break through on it i was very convinced there is "someone" with me. It only lasts for like 5-10 seconds, but during that time it just seems too real.

 

I'm in complete agreement that this is a serious shamanic tool of divination.
I believe that there are many teacher plants on this planet which facilitated human intellect and evolutionary processes of the brain.This happens to be probably the most serious one I've ever experienced.Entity presence is common with etheogenic substances.I too have felt and communicated with a presence that seems very real indeed to me. The mazatec peoples of mexico called her Ska Pastora or the sheppardess. They believe it to be a sort of earth mother entity. I know they are right.I've experienced what I believe is a female mother nature like entity. That's the best description I could come to.I feel there may be a very real entitiy component to this plant teacher.Perhaps an alien intelligence which facilitates human evolution.The conscioussness of Gaia itself possibly.

 

^^Yes that is very true!! when i had my most realistic hallucination of the "Ska Pastora" she came up from underneath the ground!! and then when it ended she piled brick upon brick upon brick over herself to go back underneath!! Is some weird shit i don't think i actally believe it to be a real spirit though im sure its ur mind playin tricks on you.

If any psycadelic could reveal true spirits it would be salvia. Mabey datura but that 1 sucks.

 

I have been unable to get questions answered on salvia. the trip goes off in its own direction and my questions become irrelevant to what is happening or they get ignored. I'm definitely not part of the steering committee. maybe I'm getting the insights I need not the insights I want.

 

It is so insightful for me because when i do it, it brings me to a place where anything is possible and then i am so amazed how much you can bend reality and just thinking about my trips are so fulfilling to think how amazing they were.

You cant just come up with questions and expect an answer, thats missing the point.

 

The wonderful thing about salvia is that it interacts with each person where they are at. For some it is frightening, perhaps they are not ready to see things as they really are. Others receive messages and inspiration just when they needed it most. All these experiences are valid. I believe that one of the ways that salvia can be used is in a traditional method that shamans have used for centuries. True divination in the pursuit of healing bodies, minds and spirits. I was told by what I believe to be a real guide, the spirit of a shaman,"Salvia can be a fun and useful tool for those of us who understand it." He was talking to me and I felt priviliged to be included in his statement. The reason I think it is a real entity we experience in salvia world is that much of the information I have received is something I could not have known myself, even unconciously[see my previous post on timing of a phone call]. It can be very difficult to hold a question in your head during a trip but I know it can be done. This is how the shamans received the information they needed to facilitate in the healing of the people. This is just one of the many ways the wonderful gift of salvia can be used.

 

I was so happy to hear the man talk on the morning show about the traditional uses of salvia. I first posted this thread last summer and just wonder if there are any new users with similar experinces.

 

When I tried SD, I got nothing. This post you shared confirms that I will try again.
Great post. My mind & body are what I believe to be ready for this journey.
It was just soooo frustrating reading about the wonderful experiences & not being able to have this myself.

I get insights but never the ones I went in looking for. whenever I enter a trip trying to steer its content, the trip always goes off in its own direction wherever it wants/needs to go. If I try to steer back to my question it just seems so irrelevant like it has nothing to do with where the trip is supposed to go.

It made me happy for a week. I learned to be optimistic instead of pessimistic, and I feel so much better now... So different... Different yet the same. I can deal with things in a different way, and I can think differently... The same, yet I can think several ways around a problem, and I couldn't before.

This wasn't even a full blown trip either. It was a "things got fuzzy, I laughed like a bastard for five minutes and drooled like a baby" trip. If that did all that for me, imagine a full blown trip!

 

I do believe these insights. i always smoke in the salvia with the hopes of getting insights. of finding something out. that may be troubling my life..

My first and only one had to do with a breakup i had with my gf of over a year.

me and her had an amazing relationship. i told her every secret. went to her for everything. basically depended on her for everything emotionally.

here is my description i gave her of my trip.

It started off with me and you.
or a being that looked like you.

And we were walking hand in hand in a field of color.
sun flowers bloomed in every color you can imagine.

We ran skipping until we reached what seemed to be a volcano.
The volcano started erupting color. blasting into the sky.

I looked at you.
and you started crying.
i kissed you on the cheek
you held me tight.

but then i was thrust onto the top of the mountain.
i looked back and i could see you laying there crying on your hands and knees.
begging me to come back.

i looked away from you and forward as i fell through into this volcano.

i was falling and i was filled with swirling colors.
mixed with black and white images.

suddenly it felt like i could not breath anymore.
but then i saw my hand come out of the volcano wall and cover my mouth.

i was filled with air.
i could breath again as i continued to fall.

this happened several times

I could see the ground now and it was just swirling color.
i looked up and i saw a picture of me smiling.
then i splashed into the color.


That is all i saw.


now of course i have a renewed strength in myself.
this trip has defiantly changed my life for the better.

recreational use of this drug is stupid. Especially if you have the possibility of having a trip that can change your life.

I won't say that I "use" it recreationally... I'll call it recreational divination.
When I need help on something, I always go to three sources outright. My God, my Bible, and my Salvia. They all help me.

These days, when I get down, I just think about that first experience with it... mind opening... I need to get some more though. Whenever I use it, yeah, I'm looking to have fun with the silly effects, but I'm always also looking for something good or spiritual to come out of the trip. So I'll call my use "recreational divination"

 

I like your term of "recreational divination". I believe salvia can be used in any way and it will help the user. Some find it frightening and perhaps they are not yet ready to see things as they are. Others use it to get high and perhaps that is just what they need at that time in their life. My prefered use is for divination, so I find myself not using it as often. It has been months since I have used it but at anytime I find myself needing insights that I can't find any other way I will turn to the wisdom that I encounter while in salvia world. I don't think there is a "wrong " way to use this wonderful gift from the Gods. It meets everyone where they are at.

 

I still haven't heard from anyone experiencing true divination with salvia divinorum. Are there no instances of the traditional use of this plant?

 

Wow, i've never read anything about this before.. but i took my last salvia trip in an almond grove at night w/ a good friend of mine & it seemed like a younger version of my mother was in all of the trees and she was part of the virgin mary or something. it was definitely very strange, not a real good experience or anything tho

 

These experiences seem so universal and so similar that there definately is some presence involved. I believe that through practice and diligence we can actually communicate with these entities for the healing of our minds, bodies and spirits.

 

Glad to see that there are still people using Salvia in different ways including real divination. Keep posting those experiences!

 

I have worked with techniques on being able to let go when she comes. I find the divination comes during the initial turn on. Salvia seems to capture the thoughts that manifest upon entry into SD. A thought or phrase seems to repeat over and over then takes on a gender tone. Then underlying new thoughts or understanding play in the background. Of course the visuals but those seem to be something to attract the attention to salvia. She speaks through those indescribable visions. Salvia showed me which seems to be the divination that she blends her thoughts with ours during the journey and what is communicated between the two of us is the divined. I mostly work with listening to her without expectation for answers to everday reality, but that is something to work with. I am just used to being shown things I need. I have been working with her to find out the proper body positions, times of day, and place to partake. She of course shows me many things as well, but they are answsers to questions I never ask. She has a way of combing through my mind with her fingers to rake out the questions.

 

i didn't learn anything from my endeavor last night. The trip was TOO intense. I looked at myself in the mirror and my hair was sticking STRAIGHT up. I've never had such intense patterning. I think i was spinning around in cirlces looking for my bed for several minutes.. Like i got up and locked my door put the bong away, and when i turned back towards my bed. Reality was DESTROYED. my perception was of a file cabinet and i could NOT for the life of me stop spinning. I finally regained my consciousness and then layed down, but i kept thinking i had been abraised and hurt because my skin was verry sensitive.

I guess I would agree with ancient powers that salvia captures the thoughts that manifest upon entry into SD, because getting to my bed at that time was the only thing on my mind. I really see potential for this medicine, but the trip is just so intense..
