I dunno why but at times i bite the side of my tongue when i am sleeping. It's either i don't realise it (the next morning i woke up with pain) or i semi-realise it but cant seem to loosen my teeth to prevent from biting my tongue. Anyone knows why?
Hm maybe thats why the side of my tongue hurts sometimes. Its probably something like how people grind their teeth when they sleep. I don't really have a solution for you though
Yeah awhile back read about how alot of people keep their jaws clamped during the day which creates alot of stress and tention that leads to grinding your teeth at night--thats probably the reason, you could try keeping your jaw alittle slack during the day or getting one of those mouth guards to sleep with oh and here is a link that might help http://www.health911.com/remedies/rem_teethg.htm hope your tounge is okay

I have a nervous habit of biting my tongue, cheeks, and lips. My fiance however, grinds his teeth in his sleep. I get welts from biting my mouth so much...it sucks. Maybe you should try a mouth guard when you're sleeping. That's what we're trying for Kevin and it seems to be working.
yeah mouth guards would probably help alot and Ovely I used to do that really bad too, I still do Im just not as bad about it haha
