What you think about, you bring about..... Hear Dr. Hagelin speak about how to bring about world peace: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAYEExLd8Aw
There is no such thing as world peace. Its not the nature of this world. It is not obtainable except as a mental concept. The human animal in all people is still there, and under the correct stimulation, it will come out of the cage where we like to keep it. Until humankind has evolved away from that animal, you can't "think" youself free of it. You have to go deeper than that. There has to be a quantum leap in spiritual evolution first. Death and destruction will nip at our heels in the meantime. Just as it should. It gives us the incentive to improve ourselves. x
you are talking about exactly the same thing, only from exactly the opposite direction. 'fact is. consciousness affects matter. how do you want to affect things? do you prefer dark or light? Peace
By spiritual do you mean religious? If so I think you need to rethink that premise. Religion has been more responsible for death and destruction than many other causes.
By spiritual I never mean religious. Religions are a death cult. I understand you SW, but I also understand we are a long way from ready. Humanity does not bloom all at once. Even if we want it to. A few here, a few there. x
The idea here is to do what we, as individuals, can do. I'm sure you understand the concept of ripples, so I won't insult you by going into that.... Effort increases exponentially. No, humanity overall, esp. in America, is not ready for this, but there is a deeper power to create than society. Think positive. It cannot hurt, and will definitely help. The only question is how much? If I do it and you are thinking it is hopeless and choose not to vibe that peace vibe, I will still have an effect. If you and I both meditate on peace it will be more than one plus one.... It will be all those that I can affect mutliplied by all those that you can affect, and to the n'th power! "Faith can move mountains." - this was not an idle comment, whoever made it. Be Peace Now.
I am a child of the sixties. I watched the civil rights movement, it did a lot, but it was the hippies and their peace and free love movement, that created an atmosphere of friendship and brotherhood, and called for peace. And peace did eventually come for a while. But political correctness grew to an extent where people were afraid to say anything. I think that's what happened to my generation and their children. We reached a point where we'd had enough of PC. We all cut our hair and started dressing for success. We still wanted to be good neighbors and friends. But then we took up sides (Repub/Dem, Right/Left). I don't remember that happening in the sixties. Slowly these divisions translated to who supported your bottomline the best. Networking for sucess involved joining churches...why should you join a church, or cut your hair or dress for success in order to better network with business clients? But it happened. My generation stood back and let it happen. We grew old and complacent, and wanted security. And our children and grandchildren, I am not sure what happened but their biggest motivators seem to be money and status. Reality media shows pit people against people and get pleasure out voting someone out of their societies. Ever been bullied or ostrasized it may be fun for the bully and their friends but it's not for the individual recieving the crap. Our kids now face more competition and a need to excell, then we ever dreamed of in the sixties, and I don't think it's been good for them. Little girls just want to be the next Brittney Spears, little boys want to be "ganstas"...there's something wrong with todays picture of the world. I think we need to start valuing the individual again.
In the sixties for all of you advocating a New Woodstock: What we promoted was love, peace and acceptance of all. I really think it's as simple as that.... stop all wars. It was a combined generation's attitude that made a difference and ended the Vietnam war. We were outside of marketing channels in the beginning. We chose a lifestyle that appealed to each of us as individuals. We didn't consider our future earnings or our or our parent's stock portfolios. Money isn't everything! Your votes aren't going to guarrantee that your insurance premiums will be reduced, or the price of gas will go down. It's been shown. The only thing you can do is be true to your own personal values, don't sell out! I sing for PEACE!
