Has anyone heard about..?

On the 27th of this month around 12Am that mars will be so close that it will look like a second moon? It won't be this close for another 200 something years.

 

uhh nevermind....I read more about it on the net and it seems to be pure BS. But there is going to be a Lunar Eclipse.

 

i haven heard that, but mars will never get that close, its imposable. most it would look like is a bright star.

Yeah, that couldn't really happen. It'd be very cool, though!

 

Even when Mars is in opposition the closest it gets is around 35 million miles

on the other paw, (and still a slightly unusual appearance in the sky), i just went out to put the trash cans where the truck can pick them up in the morning, tuesday being trash day, and looked up at a big round full moon that lookied like it had a big bleedin hole in it. i don't mean like you could see through but like a nearly full lunar eclipse. i know i haven't been paying attention, but was one scheduled for northern california tonight? it was about 02:30 or so i was out and saw that.

yea it was scheduled for last night, i would have watched it but i had school so i went to bed.

 

it was a lunar eclipse....it was awesome! it was at midnight....i duno here in hawaii i cud see it jus fine..

it turned red for a bit too and it looked wonderful! anyone else see it?
