I liked the penis chest burster, and the big veiny bastard drawings. we couldtn stop laughing all the way through the movie.
It's 14.5 here. So fuck that, I would way rather see a low-quality bootleg than pay that much fuckin money.
^ I hear ya. I really dont support bootlegging (I purchase all my music and DVD's), and since its not too pricey here, I'll just pay the crummy 7$. That is totally unessecary to make the ticket price $14.50 though.
Now that i have finished it, i can say that that movie was an absolute masterpiece, and will be a cult classic, and quoted for generations to come.
I totally agree. Peter Travers hit the nail on the head when he said "Long after you've forgotten a decades worth of Oscar winners, you'll remember McLovin"
This isn't an attack towards you, but more the movie promoters who were touting it as a classic before its release. How the hell can a movie be a classic before its even released? I understood now its been out a couple of weeks, but still not classic material. That's like buying a toyota camry and saying it is a classic. Its a fuckin cookie cutter, just like this high school comedies.
Yeah, thats a figure of speech I threw out there loosely, meaning it was just really good. Its definitely the best high school comedy I have ever seen, and I'm sure in 20 years it will age well, and most of us will regard it as a classic anyways. Definitely a spot-on portrayal of horny high schoolers (in my experience anyways), and a hilarious one at that.
but how many horny high schooler movies do we need? they are all basically the same. Some unpopular kids want to get laid. how original.
I would say it breathes new life into a tried and tired genre, and in that respect, it is pretty original. How many horny high school movies do we need? Well, if any of them can match the all around superb quality of Superbad, I'd say we need a hell of a lot more. I'm not looking for a movie that is going to change the lives of a generation or anything dude, I'm just saying its a fucking hilarious comedy... If you hold it up to all these standards instead of just watching, and accepting it for what it is (an awesome comedy), you are pretty much pre-disposed to not like it anyways.
I usually hate teen movies, but this was cool, it was actually funny, I love McLovin. And it was accurate, the stuff they talked about reminded me so much about what me and my little group talked about in school.
Well this movie is now over a year old and I haven't heard ANYONE mention it in the last 10 months. Some classic.
