You mean his contributions to the Cuban revolution? I believe he was there with the right intentions. But he was responsible for quite a few deaths. Guess you can answer that question yourself, right.
he was in the right he took a stand for what he and alot of other people belived in i think he was in the right we should all look to him for alot of things
wrong for killing. I mean its got he came to power because the government before was appaling, but he went about it all the wrong way. But once he got their, I dont care if he was a communsit, he was the kindest leader for a long time. If he had been given mor epower than Castro...we'd have more Cuban Cigars or something, my point is he was better
Hmmm...it's hard to say. I really don't believe violence can ever accomplish what needs to happen in this world. When I think of the contributions of such people as Gandhi and MLK through non-violent resistance, and compare that to what happened as a result of Che's efforts, I think that settles the matter for me. The reason I'm still a Christian after all these years (not one of those insufferable "religious right" types, mind you, or I wouldn't be here) is because of the central truth of his life and teaching, which is the redeeming power of love, even love for enemies. So that's what I believe in. Love is the revolution. I still believe that.
Che did lot of good things he's my idol. I've even got He's face on the wall. How ever i don't acept things he did to those poor souls at La Cabana. But those poor souls killed even more people before Che. I support communisim,if hippies would make a communist nation i bet it would be an utopia. But Communisim never worked becose there was always men called Stalin and Mao Zedong.
Actually, I think communism didn't work because, as Bruce Cockburn wrote not too long ago: "Greed twists eternal in the human breast."
I know Che was involved with Castro in the Cuban Revolution, but wasn't Che Bolivian, whether or not he was Bolivian, after the Cuban Revolution he went to Bolivia and tried to start a revolution there. He and his men died horrendous deaths in the jungle when they were besieged or something by counter revolutionary forces.
That's similar to asking if what any activist did was right or wrong. It's all opinion based. It's a tough call, people hate change. But change can be positive... It all depends. Do you think what Bob Marley, John Lennon, Emiliano Zapata, or Pancho Villa did was right or wrong? How about the "founder" of the USA? Tough to say, this one is.
He was basicly kicked out of Cuba by a jealous Fidel Castro. Fought and died in Bolivia with a tiny brigand group. I think he spent some time fighting in The Congo too. Would have been interesting to see him stay in Cuba. He had a wife there. The picture is incomplete .
