am i just ignorant, or is there no such thing as a bi-bar?? if im wrong, please point me in the direction of the nearest! h/e, if i am actually right in thinking that there isn't- why ever not?! they would certainly help create a community spirit, such as the thriving gay communities that exist in most modern cities- why shouldnt we have one? banding together, aside being just pleasent, would help prove people its not just a load of promiculoys nimphomaniacs!!! also; it would prevent the age old dilema of "what will i hit tonight- the gay, or the straight, scene?". any thoughts?
EXACTLY! I totally agree and am totally for "Bi Bars". it's such a convenient idea and a perfect way for meeting like minded non prejudice people who you can hook up with. it also would solve the problem of what would your girlfriend think if she knew you liked guys or the other way round etc.! perhaps you should propose the concept of "Bi Bars" to a gay friendly entrepreneur and see what comes of it? i think you'd be really successful! again great idea!
hell i could BE the entrepreneur... if i had the funds to aquire and set up such an establishment! lol. maybe the first step would be to encourage a club/bar to have a bi night to begin with... and once the popularity takes up and enthusiasts meet the seperate venue etc. could become a reality over time?
I think a Bi bar is a great idea,I'd put up the money if I had it. Don't think they exist at all,I'm hoping to see some spring up soon.
It wasn't specifically a bi-bar, but I do remember a bar in Chicago that was pretty accepting of anyone who came it. Bi, gay, lesbian, straight, guy, girl, whatever... I think it was called "The Bistro", but can't remember, it was about 19 years ago the last time I was there. (and I was like 17 or 18, so now you know how old I am too. I didn't know I was bi back then (none of my guy friends are gay or bi that I know of, but one of my friends did go lesbo. Haven't heard from her in a long while, I lost her email address. Jamie! Where are you???), we just went because they would let us in and let us drink (of course they let a bunch of young, good looking guys come in). We always had a great time there. Probably because anyone that went there was so open minded. -Toad
hey tex, i just moved from san antonio to austin it is rather strange that there are gay bars and no bi bars... having somewhere to go where everyone is checking out everyone seems pretty fucking awesome to me.
gay bars barely get by, bi people are too small of a market for such a bar to be economically feasible
i'm not sure i agree with you there, no offense , but it seems to me that most people at times feel slightly experimental and what better place to release it in a club/bar venue where anything goes, and besides, pure homosexuality as far as gay bars are concerned is limiting the number of customers to one extreme of the sexual/emotional spectrum...
exactly. gay bars' clientele is limited to the strictly gay and perhaps a few bisexuals, while bi bars would attract not only the out-of-the-closet bisexuals but also the experimentative/bicurious types... i know so many women who have always wondered about their sexuality but have never gotten a chance to experiment because they are either afraid to reveal their emotions or they can't find a suitable partner... i've brought out the bicurious sides in so many girls just because i gave them the opportunity they were looking for and made them feel comfortable. i'd love to have a place to go to with that kind of accepting and exciting atmosphere.
