I've heard them called "one-hitters," "dugouts," and "pinch hitters." They are really good if you like to smoke often but sparingly. You can buy an eighth of nugget and it will last you forever taking pinch hits. However, I'm not a fan at all because obviously the size hit which you can take is severely limited.

Kind of like a chillium. I dont know though I honestly hate smoking out of them, you cant get that great of hits and it tastes like the pipe half the time but thats just my opinion. Their pretty handy though if your just looking for a hit or two.

I've always known them as one hitters, i've never really cared for 'em.

 

they're useful for if you're low on weed or in public, especially driving. you can get them at most headshops

 

I've got one, personally i don't like it very much. The hits aren't that good, a lot of ash gets pulled through and the damn thing heats up too quick. I'd only use it if I was really low on weed and wouldn't be getting some for at least a few weeks, but to each his own.

 

The terminology for the "cigarette looking pipe" that i grew up with was a batty. One-hitter was also used interchangeably. The dugout is the box, typically wooden, where you store the bat in one half and the other half stores weed. you pop out the bat, insert it upside down in the buds, twist it a half turn and pull it out and bam a good packed hit or two.

I never liked them for regular smoking, but a convenient pickmeup during work for sure.

Yeah, i bought a few for like a buck a piece. I never really use them though. I usually just take the time to go behind a building and use a nice glass bowl.

 

We call them One hitters. Actually ours is called the non-one hitter, because its closer to 3-4 tokes. I like them.
