Xfactor is about to grace our screens tonight on Itv1 for another dose of mayhem. Trampled dreams and successful candidates going forth to win the big time.

The word X factor! What is the Xfactor and does anyone really have it? Has xfactor been confused with pure talent or is this a goal that is unrealistic in itself? Is programmes like the Xfactor simply teaching people to aim too high? or setting people up to be broken? It is bad enough having your dreams shattered but to have it broadcast across the COuntry on a billion tv sets is taking it to another level.

So what are your views? And are you looking forward to tonights "edited" edition?

" Edited by Simon Cowell to make it look real enough, I suppose. Just got the gossip from Gossip, Smash, FHM and Tv Times. I bet this year will simply be as real as Wrestling>WWF

i love watching x factor, and theres only so much editing that can be done because they cant just invent something that happened but I didnt think it was done poorly.

What I dont get is how the contestants that win, they win a £1million record deal or whatever...release one song and nothing else... hardly a million, but anywho. I only like watching the audition stages, plus Dermot is hot :D

I dont mind the X-factor. I dont know why people say that the contestants dont have 'real' talent. Of course they do.

Get turned down this year did we, J0hn? Unlucky :(

Because they're rubbish... Their song lines their pockets for a year or two, they get rockstar fever and piss all of it on a house and a fancy car then they fade into obscurity because the 8 year olds get their parents to spend more money on the latest yoof feenomeeenonn. They can't even get a job in telesales after that and Stock, Aitken and Waterman or whoever live off the royalties for every washing powder ad it's used in for the next 10 years.

It's how the music business works, darling, donchaknow? [IMG]

I liked the old man with trainers galloping from one side to another. X factor is simply another reality tv show that will never leave our screens. Like Big Brother, Tv now has a wart.

More like a cancer.. everywhere I look it's big brother this Xfactor that - randomly flicking last night I came across three reality shows, a few old sitcom repeats and some bloke mouthing off about jesus. What a pile of shite.
Only decent thing on TV now is Heroes.
