Not just the bud my friends. I was sitting on the side of the road on a busy street and I saw a cop (okay I was kinda smashed too at the time) and I was smoking a lovely doobie. Now as soon as I saw the cop I tried to hide the joint thinking I was all so inconspicuous. I had not heard him yell put it out earlier. He turns and looks at me and yells "Don't hide it! Put it out." So I hide it and he laughed and walked away. I love BC. This was in Vancouver too, the harsher place. I'm from Victoria where I never need to hide my lifestyle, whether I'm walking down the street or sitting outside city hall. We are truely blessed here. Besides we've got the best damn bud around.
Haha, awesome. A few years ago, some friends were in Vancouver, passing the pipe at a red light and a cop saw and pulled them over. He took one look in the car (didn't make them get out) and went "Look, you guys, go home, sit in your basement, blast the Bob Marley and smoke your little hearts out. Just not while you're driving." Hahah. I had a cop here stop me for smoking in main street... but it was like, 3 in the morning. It went something like - "What's that you're smoking there?" "What do you think it is?!" "Well... how much do you have on you?" *hand him tin, with about 20 doobies rolled and a few grams of hash* "Don't smoke that here, go to a park or something." "Thanks" *takes tin back* And, folks, this is why BC is the best part of Canada.
I know, they are always so polite about it too!! But really any smart cop would realize that stoners are the least of their worries. The worst we do is giggle too much at innapropriate times and eat the last doughnut. YAY BC!
"and eat the last doughnut" lol The only time I've been to BC was when I was 11, before I smoked, sounds like I gotta go back!
I was at work last week, after store closed my buddy and I each had a joint outside behind the Save-on, and there was an older cop. I don't have the best long-range vision, so I couldn't tell it was a cop, so while we were walking toward him I took a long drag, the all of a sudden I realize, "Shit, cop!" So I just curled it up in my hand and it went out. My friend apparently had seen him before and was like, "Hey, you ever get any problems here?" "No, no problems"... Ahhh, sweet B.C.
i live in the okanagan... have never run into problems. id just give the officer whatever weed i had on me and he'd either take it or tell me to go home
Yeah I live in florida too man, it's harsh here.. cops are everywhere. There's worse states out there though.
damn!!! I stay in the U.S. . . .im down south in GA if i were in BC and a cop pulled me over and said some shit like that . . . i would get out the car and HUG he/she. . . here you would get a ticket or go to jail. The U.S. is strict. . .ppl just come here for the education . . .thats what i think. . .corrupt ass government
Awwww I feel so sorry for you Americans. I remember people rolling next to me in classes... I walk down the street in complete freedom on the island and just smoke. I love it. I would hate living in fear for something that i think brings so much love. hahaha I really am a hippy
why i love BC - because i took a trip to whistler skiing a few years back and took two extra days to pursue my hobby of birdwatching in Vancouver before skiing. I contacted a local volunteer in my american birding assoc. and wouldn't you know it! on the 2nd day when he found i liked to indulge, he brought me a bag of the dankest, nuggs i could ask for, and i started smoking it on the ferry to victoria to look for the rare birds on the island. of course, i don't really remember much from my trip to bc?
Thats really not just BC. Most cops in Canada have that attitude. He was just being very nice about it.
The education of what? How to drink beer like a true redneck? Fuck the states, its borderline 3rd world country.
damn thats nice man i wish it was like out here in tx i got rolled for a dime bag and ran cuz i didnt hav an id or anything on me besides bud and a pipe and i got away
I agree Canada has better weed laws, but everyone constantly bashes the US. You know what we have certain freedoms that you lack too such as quick and easy gun ownership. You can't hate on the US 24/7. If it wasn't for the US Canada would be in trouble, just like the US would be in trouble without Canada.
Oh--I'm coming back!Last time was 1970 when I travelled across.I MUST come back!!It must be interesting to live in a sane place.WE wouldn't know.
