that was not sickening. do you like the fact that the thread of this american culture is made up of people who are brainwashed into thinking that violence/drug abuse/and rape is okay?: i used to be there and honestly im happier here living a pure life. im not condemning you at all please dont take it the wrong but i have to say the demoralization of this world is tragic. maybe the christian fanatics arent perfect in their approaches but they are just trying to help better the world. look around you..smiling faces are almost a treat to see! were an unhappy nation that eats too much and loves too little.
peace comes from within a person we all claim on this here sight to wish for a peace washed universe but do we take time to protest against teen gang violence or kids younger than you and i getting hooked on deadly substances that create hate.

the universe needs help.. maybe not from god but than from who/what else?

the bible was being honest, god doesnt paint a perfect picture of human weakness. you might call it good journalism! i wouldnt go as far to say that god is promoting these behaviors-he speaks against them. read the 10 commandments!

he gives us the power of choice as to wether or not we want to follow in his likeness or not! he doesnt force us to us into a carbon copy!

satan takes away your power of choice..to where some people cant even choose any longer to think logically.

How does Satan take away your power of choice? Please explain what you mean by this.

Now I will explain what I believe Satan is. He is a figment of the imagination, a being created to explain why the world is has "evil" in it. The truth is that life is full of suffering because it is imperfect. Once we accept the imperfections of the world, we will see the perfection of imperfections.

    Peace and love

when i was following satan i had no choice as to what i wanted to do with my life. i woke up went to work and even if me in my heart did not want to buy drugs that day and kill myself to sleep satan would force me to do so.

i heard voices in my head " every day you ask satan to come out and play and he shows you his magic tricks"

i couldnt choose to be nice to others.
i was angry all the time even if i wanted to be nice.
i was demon possessed.even if i wanted to do the right thing i would still do wrong.

now i have accepted that imperfection is perfection ( in a way) we are all sinners..i sin still! but i try my best not to give satan those satisfaction points. whenever i sin thats like peeing on god. i try to do good in my life to show god my love!not because im working my way to the holy city.
    thats just charred thinking.

absurdity is when you find no purpose in life..
my purpose in life is to share the great gift of god. love others. help others.

so you tell me how one can go from hating everyone to now wanting to help& embrace the suffering WITH OUT a god ? does a switch just get flicked.actually it does by christ. not on its own..

I disagree with your last statement. I know a lot of Christians who believe in Jesus but have hatred in their heart. To be perfectly honest, it seems like you don't take responsibility for your actions. You say that it was like a demon possessed you but that is not true. That was YOU. YOU made the decisions, not some outside force. It's a cop out.

I am a good person not because of Jesus, but because I make the effort every day to be kind and loving. That is my religion: loving kindness. There is no savior in my life, besides myself. I have the power to control my karma and help others. Please post a response and allow me to retort.

    Peace and love

well that is in and of itself not having to do with any religious affiliation.(me and my trials) and my not being able to take responsibility for my own actions. im sorry but you cant tell me what went on in my head or in my heart i am the only judge of that friend. i made the initial choice to start doing drugs- but after awhile i was controlled by a force stronger than my own free will. that is not a cop out, its the truth.

were these hateful "christians" catholics? just because you believe in god doesnt mean you love him

im glad your a good person.

It's called addiction. Not Satan or anything else. Just chemicals fucking up your brain. I'm sorry that you are in denial. You made the decision to quit. No one else.

Fedup, schizophrenia cannot be diagnosised while one is addicted to drugs. There are many types of drug induced psychosis, which is more often than not the case of the hallucinations. So I guess I say that I blame the voice on the drugs.

satan used drugs to control me dont you get it! satan uses sin (sex, drugs, music, movies, anger, depression..whatever your addiction might be) to control us. this is my personal opinion. if you dont agree go somewhere else. or maybe i will!

natural philosophy- basically in the bible the writers were just being honest journalists! they are not going to paint a perfect picture because that would be dishonest. human weakness is portrayed in the bible by those who were not involved with listening to christ. thats all- no brainwashing here.

are you standing up for those who rape and kill? why do you find it so entertaining to oppose a valid statement..is that not true that we are all being programmed by the media into thinking violence is okay? thats no novel concept.

    Galaxy,

I'm sorry but the bible is not journalism, it is delusionism. You are afflicted with a genetic disease that has affected your brain causing these same delusions of God and Satan. You are the product of religious murders, genocides and wars. The DNA in your body has taken part in all of these atrocities. You have been bred to be a tool for the religious war engine. The best thing you can do for the human race is realize this and not pass this affliction on to another generation.

How is sex a sin? How is depression a sin? How is depression an addiction? Let's get real, depression is a neurobiological condition, as is addiction. This means that the brain chemistry is off. Do a little research before posting that depression is a sin or an addiction. I have a condition that is due to my brain chemistry being out of wack, not due to Satan.

    Peace and love

IMHO, that's the biggest cop out of all. You never have to take responsibility for your own actions. Jesus doesn't save, you save yourself. Jesus is an example to be emulated, not worshipped as a god. That is even what he taught, but SOOOO many people ignore his messages. Especially those who "follow" him...

Their is no such thing as Jesus.........never was. The figure Jesus is based on the ancient egyptian sun god Horus. Your bible is nothing but a collection of theological plagiarism based on astrology, ancient egyptian religion, the egyptian book of the dead, greek mythology, and pagan ritual. The bible was designed as a guide to morality for the common (profane) people by those intelligent enough to enslave the fears of man. Not one single historian who lived during or immediately after the time of "Jesus Christ" ever documented his existence, but they did document events of far less consequence. The ten commandments was taken DIRECTLY from the Egyptian book of the Dead, the virgin birth, three day resurrection, 12 disciples, December 25, all of these are recurring themes in MANY religions predating the Judeo-Christian faith, and yes, they are all rooted in astrology. Your entire perception of reality and faith is nothing but a clever fairy tale indoctrinated into you since birth in order to make you perform a certain way.........religion is the opiate of the masses, no better tool for enslavement.

Actually, there were a few historians that mocked Jesus and recorded his life...
